With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

The atmosphere is your own vehicle, so I find that extra pleasant. Service can be anywhere from great to really not great, and you can order the same drink from one and it be completely different at the next (unfortunately). I used to come here a lot but their continuous use of low-quality products and high prices have stopped me from enjoying anything. I now go to DASH bakery for Chai Breves and the quality difference is insane. I wish Human bean would break away from the fake flavorings and add actual healthy, high quality items and really put themselves apart from DB. Human Bean has really good operating hours though, so while I can get the best tasting chai breve from Dash, they are rarely open when I’m craving one. When that is the case, my family all come here to HB but I just get a water.

Place is and has always been stellar! All genuine people 🙂 but i’m leaving this review on behalf of my puppy, since we are a unit; she gets so excited a mile out because she knows she’s about to get a treat, however one of the baristas there has been giving her the stinky eye as of late because of her happy barks, which i try to tame but is challenging at times due to her experiencing intense euphoria

Absolutely the best coffee ever. I’ve never been a fan of Dutch Bros. or Starbucks as it tastes like burnt coffee and pure syrup to me. Human Bean tastes like real coffee and whatever you add to it. It’s not too sweet, and hot drinks are not scalding. I’ve been going to Human bean regularly for the last 7-8 years and I LOVE them. I love the staff & stand managers, they are all wonderful and kind and know my drink and aren’t in a rush to get you out so you feel welcomed even if it is quicker stop kind of place. Absolutely the best! 🙂

I’ve been to this location twice now. First time my coffee tasted watered down. Came back to give it another try and again, I get a watered down coffee drink. This location sucks. I’ve been to other Beans and had good coffee. What’s up with this place??

The new one opened here in G.P. I ordered my favorite Snickers flavored Granita. The barista told me $7 for a 20 oz drink. I questioned her about it and she said that it’s because I ordered caramel drizzle around the inside of the cup which is something they used to always do. After leaving I thought about it but wasn’t able to get back to that location for almost a week. When I did go back and ask them about it they said the girl made a mistake and overcharged me but because it has been almost a week it was too late to do anything about it. Needless to say I was disappointed not only in the service but the fact that now I have to pay extra for what I was used to getting in my regular drink. So I Guess now that it’s $6.50 a drink Human Bean is going to have to be an occasional luxury for me.

Went ahead and tried the green tea smoothie and I really like it. Every Grants Pass Human Bean has a sale on Tuesday so you should really take advantage of that $2 coffee. But if it’s your first time downloading the app you get $2 free for signing up (yes free coffee on Tuesday or happy hour). Ohh and they give you a cute little chocolate covered bean on every coffee. That’s so cute and tastes really good! Must try.
