With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

Great coffee. This location is very small and limited. Only 2 cars per side will fit or you’ll be out in the street. Serv8ce was fine.

Best iced chai I’ve ever had, nothing has topped it since going there back in June. I now order Oregon chai all the way to Canada just to be able to have it again. Also the chocolate covered coffee bean with every drink is such a small but adorable touch, it honestly made my day every single day !!

Horrible! We ordered a hot coffee and a hot chocolate on a rainy day, both were served cold. Upon asking them, we got served a luke warm coffee and hot chocolate. Oh, and the waitress forgot to give some glares without a single word or apology. Not worth a penny.

The first coffee was watered-down coffee slurry. Then, a year later I decided to give The Human Bean another try. The second coffee was worse than the first. My friends and family warned me, but I wanted to give this coffee shop the benefit of doubt. Now…I doubt I will ever frequent this establishment/company again.

Not a bad first try over here on the Oregon Coast. I think The Human Bean is a local coffee stand and I wanted to give them a try. It wasn’t particularly my favorite coffee. The Granita was tasty but not different like I’ve had that coffee taste somewhere else before. The green tea smoothie was pretty tasty and something new to taste. Tasted like a vanilla bean frappe with a green twist. The wait was pretty long especially with just one car in front of us but a very friendly Barista. They also topped both drinks with a cute little coffee bean. They had a variety of drinks to choose from and I was really surprised to see the variety in sizes! I don’t typically see the 8oz options

My honey and I decided to try this place last year when we were camping in Oregon and it was very different from the typical Starbucks and Dutch Bros. Such a nice change! The staff was friendly and the drinks were tasty. Unfortunately I can’t remember what drinks we ordered, I just remembered enjoying them. (I happened to scroll past this photo looking for something) Nice place to try out for sure if you get the chance.

Ok so lines are long, but coffee is worth it. Drove up and the young gal just kind of stared, didn’t say hi how are you, what are you having? Nothing. I ordered an iced Americano and a bagel. First impression not the best but she did end it with a have a good day. Overall coffee is delicious and coffee beans are the icing on the cake. For customer service I gave it a 4 but coffee is a 5!
