With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

The staff that work here are always super nice they work hard. It’s not they’re fault they get swamped because they make delicious drinks! Betty fixed an issue that happened with a gift card quite quickly. The staff is just so amazing. This place is wasay better than other coffee chains. Again Betty is so awesome!

This was my favorite place to treat myself when I go out to buy coffee, they never would disappoint, i mean never. I just left here. I have not been here in 3 months. We ordered two coffees. They were terrible and watered down. Taste like hot water, with a little skim milk added. Breaks my heart.

Tried the Iced Caramel Hazelnut mocha
which is caramel and hazelnut, steamed chocolate w/bold espresso. It was very delicious and reasonably priced.
This is only a walk up or drive through coffee pit stop which ok if your on the go.
The service was fast and very friendly

I visit this place as a reward after I meet gym goals and there’s always nice staff who answer my questions about new drinks and stuff. The coffee is usually pretty good but occasionally it will taste a little burnt.

My drink, however, was good at the sip then quickly followed by a weird aftertaste. I took a few more sips to see if I could figure it out, and finally did: It tastes like chocolate liqueur or chocolate wine. It was awful, unless you like those flavors. I do not, and was also a bit concerned about what made it taste that way. I threw the rest away. (It was a blended chocolate macadamia nut.)

Excellent customer service. Drinks tasted amazing! We ordered one lavender Italian soda with cream, one mate Frappuccino and one Mexican mocha Frappuccino. Honestly after we tried Human bean out in bullhead Arizona for the first time, we haven’t gone back to Starbucks and instead will attempt to find one in every city we’re in.

I love this place! The people are super friendly and are good at giving recommendations when I can’t make up my mind. My coworker and I stop by a lot; to the point where some of the employees know us now, lol. So much tastier and cheaper than places like Starbucks. I should have written this review long ago but kept forgetting, haha. I highly recommend this coffee shop. Once you try it you’ll want to keep coming back!

Quick service. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie during this heat wave. I asked for the biggest one and received a 32oz! The coffee bean they place on top was delicious. I will definitely be returning.

So glad we finally have a Human Bean in Citrus Heights!! We used to travel all the way to the Rocklin location to get this stuff! It took me a little while to find a coffee drink I love (that’s normal for me). Then I found the vanilla granita with macadamia milk and now I’ll never get any other drink. I’ll also never go back to Starbucks. Human Bean drinks are always consistent with taste and caffeine content, unlike Starbucks. The drinks are always so fresh and the coffee is so smooth. Most people don’t realize that their 20oz drink has 4 SHOTS unlike a Venti which only has 2. We also love coming here because they have great customer service and they always love seeing our dog. I literally recommend this place to everyone.
