With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

I’ve been coming here ever since they opened, at first because it’s close to my work, now I go every chance I get. I love the coffee and the people working there are so nice they even know me and my order. Eric, Yoirk and Angelina are stand outs. They always say hello and ask how I’m doing. Really makes me feel like I’m more than just a customer. I highly recommend this place for your morning coffee stop.

I bought 16oz of hot coffee and what I got was 8oz of coffee. Almost $8 for 8oz. I emptied entire cup into measuring cup of 16oz that 2 cups and behold only 8oz. Not cool!

Happy Valentine’s Day… I read online that they were giving out gifts for V-Day, so I was in a pleasant mood. I pulled up, and they handed me my order — one for my wife (an iced caramel hazelnut oat shaken espresso) and mine, a hot Americano. They just handed us the drinks — no “How’s your morning?”, no “Any plans for Valentine’s Day?”, no gift… They shut the door and helped the next customer.
As I waited to see if they would open the door again (after about a minute), they said they wouldn’t be handing them out until 12 p.m., then proceeded to shut the door again!
Sorry, Human Bean — NEVER AGAIN.
P.S. My wife’s drink was 90% watered down.

I am an Uber Eats driver and was given a delivery to be picked up at this location. The store was closed. This was NOT a late night delivery. It was close to 6 p.m. When establishments do not keep hours and closings updated on the Uber site, the drivers pay for it. Since this location was closed, I had to cancel the order, which goes against me and my ratings. In addition to that, I drove quite a ways to pick up said order, and received zero compensation for my time.

I had gone to the Human Bean in Coors and Central in Albuquerque, NM, it was so bad! Normally when I get an order they bag everything nicely. This last time all the drinks had vanilla cold foam which we always get and it’s delicious. This last time though, it tasted awful and did not taste like it had vanilla in it, I am starting to think whatever they made it it with was expired. We got 6 drinks and only got 3 beans, normally they give us a bean for each drink we ordered.

Nice brand new small place. Customer service was on point- friendly and easy going. Ordered a small Breve latte. Half and half was over steamed, it was not nice creamy decadent micro-foam but rather almost like regular hot milk. Shots did not shine through either unfortunately.

Use to be good went for a green apple smoothie. Instead I got a milk ice with apple and told that’s how it’s made. Doesn’t look like the picture. I got this before and it was thicker, green, and tasted of apple. Staff was nice but either they changed it, lied, or were running out of stuff. Either way not what was or still advertised as. Update( found old photo of when I first got it smooth, thick, and a green color)
