Great family environment. I would highly recommend as your heading to Alantic beach. The portions are very healthy and the prices are very family friendly. Had a great conversation with the owner, he definitely made me want to come back. Huge family atmosphere with fun things to entertain the kids in lobby.

Very good Eastern NC cooking. Lightly fried trout, crunchy french fries, lightly creamy coleslaw, and melt in your mouth hushpuppies. Dad devoured his trout. This is a delicious place to stop and eat on the way to the coast.

Just after the big snow had fallen think it was a Monday my wife and I stopped to see if Kings was open. Went inside and it signs that says dinning rooms were closed then someone came out and said the buffet was open so we went to he buffet and it a selection that was1/4 of the normal buffet. The hostess even said “we’re trying it out” so we got something to eat and as we were eating a older gentleman and his wife came to our table and thanked me for my service to our country. I was wearing my disabled veteran hat. I said thank you. As I left I told the waitress I’d like to pay for the elderly couples meal. This is where I was shocked. The buffet only had a 1/4 of its regular buffet, enough where they weren’t even using one whole section of the buffet bar. When I checked out I was expecting a discounted buffet price with what was offered but instead was charged full price for my wife and I. And also charged full price for the elderly couple which should have had a senior discount but was also charged full price. That one visit has affected the way I look at that restaurant and since recently moving here Kings was a place we would visited weekly or more. I can’t say that I’ll be back after that last visit. So for 4 people to eat 2 of them being 70+ years old I spent $76.91 for a partial buffet.

Always a treat to stop in and have some BBQ and chicken with tasty sides. We met with some family friends for a Christmas dinner and reserved a back room. The service and the food was great and all of the staff ensured there was never an empty drink and they were all friendly. I’ve had up and down experiences here, but none have ever been bad. If you haven’t been in a while stop in and try them again

This restaurant is well known in the area. There was no buffet when we went today. The health grade today was a 91.
The service was friendly and while the restaurant is dated, it appeared to be clean despite being very busy.
My husband got the pull pork and fried chicken. The chicken wasn’t really seasoned and tasted bland. The same was true of the fried shrimp and fries. There really wasn’t a lot of flavor in anything.
The service was friendly and the food came out quick especially considering how busy they were. The prices were mid, and in line with similar restaurants. It was $53 for three meals and 4 drinks.
Overall it was just okay. We probably won’t be regulars.

Kings BBQ delivers an outstanding barbecue experience with a warm, down-home ambiance. The “Pig in a Puppy” and the buffet are absolute must-tries, showcasing the culinary mastery behind their excellent barbecue. Stopped after Camp drop off on Sunday. At the buffet in the banquet room. I enjoyed evening thing I picked out. For a quick lunch out was pretty good. A solid 90/100.
Want that all you can eat quick, this is your stop!

Some of the best eastern NC style BBQ I’ve had in a while, plus good hush puppies. Very casual and laid back, could be a bit cleaner. If you want local food in Kinston this is the place.
