With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

My coffee was terrible… I had a somewhat complicated order so I tried to be gracious when receiving it, but I ordered iced and it was luke warm with maybe 4 ice cubes. I asked for pumpkin spice and I don’t taste any pumpkin, it was just not good, bitter and unpleasant. I also ordered a quad shot, and because there’s like no ice in this it’s very watered down- I order quad shot because I like it rich. I will not be coming back 🙁 probably won’t even finish this coffee.

My daughter and I just went to the human bean and let me say the energy there was exactly what we needed, well including the delicious drinks we go. I’ve been skeptical about trying matcha but have been wanting to try it and so they told me the flavors and I asked if anyone tried vanilla with coconut and she encouraged me to try it and omg it is so good. I wish I got her name but she has such a light energy and if you go there you’ll know, she told me we should try with a little bit of cinnamon next time and I definitely am going to try it. Definitely going back soon! Oh and of course I always love their complimentary bean.

These ladies make a mean cup of coffee! Super friendly staff always upbeat and smiling. I love that I can show up having dragged myself out of bed and struggling to keep my eyes open after a long commute to head into work, tell these gals to surprise me with something, and never get disappointed. Always the perfect amount of flavor, sweetness, and fun.

I love thia coffee eattery. I had their muffins and bagels which they source from local bakeries. Coffee is awesome! The girls were very accommodating…AND I was a repeat customer and after the second trip? They remembered my order.

The staff is always nice and friendly! They make the best pumpkin pie lattes. I always go to other places and they’re like pumpkin spice? But every year the pumpkin pie lattes are great! I also love the rewards program and the app! Super easy to use and a great idea! I love that they give us a chocolate espresso bean with every drink. Its a super cute idea! Reasonably priced coffee large portions it’s definitely not fancy and it was a little over steamed with moderate espresso that relies on the roast profile over the flavor of the beans like most places (it’s better than Starbucks though) so if you’re just looking for a nice latte it’s a good place to go. It’s the kind of place that I would go back too when I want coffee on the go, just not when I am looking for a premier cup of coffee. They also have a lot of options and are willing to make things that are not even on the menu so if you like sugary drinks and lots of options it’s the place for you! If you want high quality espresso where you can taste the unique flavor of the beans I wouldn’t recommend it but overall a great place to pick up coffee.
