With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

Usually I am very satisfied with with the service and quality! However, today was a miss…I ordered a 12oz mango smoothie for my daughter and it was literally filled halfway. No, I did not drink any as the rim of cup shows. I didn’t realize this until I drove away as I also ordered other drinks. The 2 gals were friendly but was disappointed that I paid full price for half a drink…

I love supporting smaller local owned businesses. I too work in the service industry. No reason a drive through coffee spot should take longer than 10 mins….. didn’t even get the chance to order before i left the line. Mind you i was second in line. I get being busy but no sense of urgency in drive through coffee shop is crazy

Terrible service takes about 15 minutes everytime i go here. Coworkers are always spending time talking with each other before taking any orders and if a family member or friend of there’s stops by forget it. Just drive away at that point. (Every other shop is prett quick and efficient)

Someone tell the bottle blonde taking orders she needs to work on her customer service and quit rushing customers. It’s also uncomfortable when she sighs so much because of how lazy she is however, the other lady that corrected her mistakes was very sweet and I appreciate her making the extra effort to make sure I would come back.

The folks at the human bean are super nice and friendly. They make sure I can get where I’m going on most days . The coffee is great. I only get the drip coffee and chai and those are awesome. I occasionally get the burritos, breads and cookies and they have been good as well.

Pulled up, a barista met me in line to take my order, kept waiting for the person to move in front of me, they never did, the barista brought me my coffee and said that the person in front of me is a “regular” and likes to “gab”. It really wouldn’t have been a problem, but there was a vehicle directly behind me making it impossible to leave… I finally put my vehicle in reverse and asked them to back up, all the while the car in front of me not caring about anyone else but themselves.
Either way, coffee and service was excellent.
