With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

Although the pricing is step, the service provided by COURTNEY definitely makes it worth it . Ms. Courtney took the time to figure out what I was requesting and it was perfection. In addition she wrote it down so I wouldn’t have to try explain my coffee fix needs. Kudos to the all employees at this establishment, a job well done!

This was my first time at this location, only my 3rd or 4th time getting coffee from any The Human Bean. I asked for a recommendation from the barista while my son got a smoothie with a variety of different flavors. She was so friendly and offered options and descriptions of a variety of drinks. She never once sounded put out with us taking longer or having to make a specialized drink. The coffee was good but the service even better. Thank you for such a great experience! I stopped by here on a whim the day after working a 16 hour shift – I was SO tired and they could tell. The absolutely wonderful staff added a shot of espresso to my coffee and made small talk with me to find out what coffee I enjoy. They were so kind and sweet! I was really happy to see gluten free snacks on their menu too!! I will definitely be stopping back and will be telling people about this place. It’s so nice to stop somewhere and actually be welcomed into the business. Highly recommend!!!

Super friendly girls! I love the human bean all, as it gives you bean points to get free coffees! A lot of their stuff is also organic and naturally made and sourced. Sooo good too! (Try the mexi mocha with light ice!!)

I’m so impressed with the service we received yesterday morning. We stopped by before we went out Black Friday shopping and at 615 in the morning I was pleasantly surprised by Maddie. She was cheerful and helpful with the menu. She recommended using chocolate milk for our peppermint drinks and helped started the day right.

As far as atmosphere goes it’s a drive-thru. So it is not a bad atmosphere but it is a drive-thru lol. Love their coffee, my son loves their hot cocoa. Workers are always very kind. You never have to wait too long for your order. Great place to visit and try their coffee.
