It’s been so nice having the Howlin’ Bird here in Massillon. The food is fresh, hot, and delicious. We especially enjoyed the addition of the pizzas (they are great!). The staff are always friendly. I highly recommend stopping in to try out their menu.

I realllllly wanted to like this place because I LOVE hot chicken. It was okay to fine at best. For the price, it was disappointing. It is easily the most I have ever spent on a fast food meal, setting me back about $50 for two entrees, an extra side, and a fountain drink. I got 3 hot tenders with bird sauce and Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were tasty! Very smoky and salty and cooked perfectly. The sauce was good, like a mix of a fry sauce and tartar sauce. The tenders were alright. They were spicy, but nothing crazy, and I think most people could handle it, but the actual flavor of the chicken was bland. It tastes like it isn’t brined long enough or at all, and even though it is juicy, it is tasteless. My husband got the chicken and waffles, which was very beautiful. The waffle was soft and fluffy, but it was ruined because it was swimming in a maple syrup that had that very distinct chemically flavor of cheap artificial syrup, and I would just expect higher quality for an almost $20 entree. Also, the plastic cutlery is too flimsy for the density of the food, so it makes it a bit difficult to eat. The extra side we got to share with our child was campfire loaded tots, and they were HUGE. The toppings were good and a bit spicy, but the tots had a weird greasy softness to them like the fryer was overcrowded or the temperature was too low, so they absorbed a lot of oil and left a really unpleasant bitter aftertaste in the mouth.
All in all, we did get a LOT of food. We were able to take a whole box of leftovers home, but the price was outrageous for the taste and quality. The hot chicken was lackluster, and the chicken from Dave’s Hot Chicken or even Chick-fil-A is much more flavorful, and I would choose to go to either of those places over this one any day.
If you want to try it, I would suggest coming in to get a $5 chicken sandwich (on Tuesday I think) or 50¢ wings on Wednesday that I saw advertised inside. Also, for the price, the flock meals seem like an excellent deal for a large family, and so do the half and whole chicken combos. After seeing the food, I think one of those rotisserie chicken combos could comfortably feed a family of three for only about $25. If you’re going, I wouldn’t waste your money on what we bought.

First time here, it was GREAT!! 5$ OG chicken sandwich with fries, amazing. The Bavarian pretzels were awesome as well!! Highly recommend, quick service, friendly staff, clean environment! We will be eating here again♥️

Typically pretty good, but ordered half a rotisserie chicken today and got this pathetic “half rotisserie chicken” instead. What a rip off. It’s a chicken breast, miserable looking drumstick, and an even more miserable looking wing. Can’t believe this was allowed to be sent out as the advertised menu item.

Sara was so helpful with her suggestions. Her abundance of energy and enthusiasm for the food and her job really amped our last experience with the howlin bird! We love the Tuesday special, but the pizza, wings and Brussels sprouts are all stellar for the price and fast-casual style of restaurant. The flock meals are a great value. Our family of 4 can eat for $40 with leftovers.
Suggestion: since you’re already selling Tractor teas, distribute some of their other amazing drinks!

This place is great. The food is always fresh and tasty. Sam that took our order was very friendly!
The wait can be slightly longer than a fast food place but it is fine with me because it is real food, not fast food. The cole slaw is the best I have had and made in house. My favorite sauces are the bird sauce and hot honey sauce.

Always enjoy my time there. Staff is wonderful I always feel welcomed. The food is great you get quite a bit. The pizza is otherworldly. Love the way they do different specials every month. Always check every month to get the surprise. Definitely good experience every time. Keep up the good work.

This was the first time we’ve had a chance to stop at the Massillon location. Tony & Mindy were great from the second we walked in the door, greeting us with a hello and a smile. We ordered a 4pc chicken tender, pretzel sticks, and hot honey deep dish pizza. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. The establishment as a whole was very clean and taken care of. We will be back!

New to the brand …Picked up a small flock. Tony was amazing in helping choose my sides and sauces. The Mac n Chz was fire, Food was great. Staff was on it and so friendly! Might have to get a few big flocks for our party next week. Thank you Tony for making the recommendations!
