@leoperezphotos – Great service and food. Server Lorelai was attentive and friendly – had good wine suggestions. All dishes were either good or great. Great salmon, scallops, salads. Cornbread was creatively presented as a fish design but the thinness of this dish perhaps takes away from the essence of a traditional deep dish cornbread style. Monkfish could probably be better if it was a filet with no bones but did have a nice sauce.

The drinks are delicious, the hot cider was amazingggggg. The oysters were top tier, cleaned it super well and everything. Always love the seafood here. The steak tartare however was a lil chunky, and after a couple of bites, it felt really obvious that I was just eating a slab of raw beef lmfao. Maybe it should be a little bit more minced next time…. lol. Also someone was on what sounded like their first date next to us, so we also got entertainment.

The food here is overpriced for the quality, but what truly disappointed us was the service — the worst we’ve ever experienced at any restaurant. My wife and I sat outside for dinner. The waiter initially seated us on a bench that made my wife’s back uncomfortable, so we politely asked if we could change tables since many were still empty. He said he needed to check, but then spent the next 10 minutes basically just chatting and laughing with another waitress, completely ignoring our request. When we asked again, he simply said we couldn’t move.
Throughout the meal, the waiter was nowhere to be found — no refills, no check-ins, nothing. When we finished and wanted to pay, we waited another 10 minutes for him to show up. To make things worse, when it was finally time to check out, he skipped us and instead served a white male customer who had come up after us. I don’t want to escalate the whole matter to racial discrimination, but this experience felt deeply unfair and uncomfortable.

Great upscale seafood restaurant! Able to seat 10+ people with advanced booking. Food was delicious, you are paying a premium though, and came out pretty quick! The appetizers are quite nice but the portion of the main dishes sometimes are a bit smaller.

Hourly Oyster House – A Solid Seafood Spot in Harvard Square
We stopped by Hourly Oyster Bar while wandering around Cambridge and decided to try a few of their seafood dishes. Overall, it was a great experience—good food, chill vibes, and the location right in Harvard Square makes it a fun spot to relax and people-watch.
We ordered the lobster roll, Fisherman’s stew, and the lobster mac & cheese.
• The lobster roll was delicious—fresh, flavorful, and the bun was nicely toasted. What really impressed me was the price. It was reasonable, especially for such a prime location. You don’t feel like you’re getting ripped off like at some touristy places that charge $40 for a dry, flavorless roll.
• The Fisherman’s stew was pretty good too. It came with a lot of seafood, which was great, but the broth was a bit thinner than I expected. I was hoping for something heartier and more savory. Still enjoyable, just not my favorite of the bunch.
• The lobster mac & cheese was easily the star of the meal. Super creamy, packed with lobster, and had this smoky Gouda flavor that made it feel rich without being overly salty. I could’ve eaten the whole thing myself.
If you’re in the area and craving seafood, Hourly is definitely worth checking out—especially for that lobster mac. Would go back just for that dish alone.

Interior was beautiful, a nice wintery feel as soon as I stepped in. No Christmas music yet as it’s only November which is great.
Oysters were way overpriced for their sizes and way too bland, probably dunked in tap water for too long, so their taste is all washed away and they’re way dead. Also I was sitting not far from the bar where they open the oysters, and let me tell you it’s not hygienic.
