My family used to LOVE the Hot Dog Shack. However, the food has definitely changed. The last time we ate there (few weeks ago maybe) the hot dogs were nasty. They tasted like boiled Vienna sausages. I was like “well that’s weird, let’s skip the hot dogs next time”. Today we ordered 2 burgers. Well the beef had no flavor. It’s like they pattied up the beef and forgot the salt or whatever seasonings they would normally use. Even with the chili and ketchup I was disappointed. I don’t know what changed since we started eatting there 5 years ago. I hope they fix the issues. Spring time is coming up and our family looks forward to eatting lunch on their outdoor picnic tables (even though it is a little loud with traffic). Picnic tables out back would be nice.

I’m not even sure where to start! We pull up to the park 3 mins away I noticed something black in the bag wrapped up?! I kept thinking what could that be!? I open it and it’s the tenders burnt!! I refuse to give these to my son like this. I called there and asked no one saw these were burnt before packing and bagging them?? The girl hands the phone to the cook. He asked me what I wanted him to do give me some free ones or something? Lol no I’m bringing these back I need new ones! He said okay.. I get back to the park and I have 3 combos but 2 fries!!! Now we have to decide who gets little to no fries!!! There’s already very little in the containers as it is! The onion rings were almost over cooked but good. The hotdogs from a hotdog joint were some of the worst we’d ever had!!! Boiled hotdog in a cold untoasted bun! I’ve had a better hotdog at sheetz for 0.50..seriously. I tried to give it to my older son (who loves hotdogs) he wouldn’t eat it either. My youngest son didn’t eat it either so we just threw it away. I didn’t know hotdogs could be made so bad. The bacon cheese burger was good. We wasted quite a bit of money here and will not return. Horrible experience!

It’s a little hole-in-the-wall place but you can’t beat their hand pattied burgers and hot dogs. We love the food there and the Cheerwine slushies are yummy! Bring a bib and your appetite…you will be glad you stopped in.

Got the two all beef hotdog combo. One with red slaw and one with white. Just amazing flavor. As soon as you open the door you smell the goodness of an old school soda shop.

Great place for a quick bite, they mainly serve burgers and hot dogs but also have chicken tenders, corn dogs, fish fillet, fries, onion rings, sodas and milkshakes. The food is always fresh and the restaurant is clean and highly decorated, the staff is friendly and very polite. The prices are very reasonable and they also offer outside setting.

Stopped in after a day of riding. Got a couple hotdogs with fries. Very good dogs and the chili and slaw was tasty. They had lots of toppings. Also lots of Cheerwine (in glass bottles!) and Moon Pies!

After years of driving by, we finally stopped today. Very eclectic little restaurant! Hot dogs, hand pattied burgers, fries or grilled chicken sandwiches, etc. Lots of sides to choose from along with drinks. You can order single items or they have combos. I had a chili dog. Chili is made daily and was awesome. Husband had a fish sandwich. It was alright; nothing wrong with it, just not a hearty piece of fish. Everything comes out piping hot! Will definitely stop again!
