This is the only non-franchise restaurant I could find in Watonga. It is small, and probably hasn’t changed much in 30 or 40 years. I was too early for lunch. Breakfast is served untill 11.
I had eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, and biscuits and gravy. The food wasn’t bad, but it was all over cooked and on the bland side. The kitchen in this place is tiny, so I wasn’t surprised that everything was frozen not fresh (besides the eggs). No sausage in the gravy, which would at least perk it up a little.
The waitress was nice, but a little in the weeds during my visit, so she didn’t get a chance to check the table before I was ready to go. I completely understand and it wasn’t an issue.
Solid 6/10, and if I find myself in Watonga later in the day, I’ll stop in to try the lunch menu. But I would skip breakfast.

Love the small town eatery. Great prices for big portions. Staff were wonderful and the place was very clean. Will eat again many more times.

This place is a hidden gem if you’re looking for a quick and inexpensive snack or meal. It’s owned by the same owner of What Dispensary right next door. This place is always clean and ready for customers. It has one gender-neutral restroom inside (no changing station) and just to let you know, the light switch is on the outside of the bathroom lol. It’s funny watching people go in there and search and search for that switch. There are a lot of tables to pick from and even a more private area with tables. They have not only hotdogs for $2.00, but hamburgers, nachos, baked potatoes, salads, waffles, cereal and more. A very long list of toppings and condiments. They also have weekday soups and specials. I’m a loaded baked potato gal. On the down side there are no fountain drinks, but they do offer cans of soda pop, bottles of orange juice and water, chocolate or whole milk, hot chocolate w/ marshmallows and free refills on coffee. Ice cream-wise they offer malts, shakes, cones, sundaes and soda floats. The prices range from .75-$3.50 on each item purchased, so it’s pretty low cost around this area…and a WAY better choice than the Sonic next door. The wait time isn’t bad either, but I guess that depends on how much is ordered. This is a dine in or carry out place. Not romantic, but could get pretty cozy. There’s a TV in the dining area and some sports jersey’s up on the wall.

Wonderful little place! Food was great! Service was above and beyond. Saw worker hold the door for two different patrons with disabilities. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Said the owner was her dad. I definitely recommend this little gem.

Fantastic little Cafe! Burgers are made from scratch, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Fries were fresh and crisp. I will probably frequent this establishment. It was a delightful refreshment from your regular restaurant chain.

So far, I’ve tried the breakfast burrito and a bacon cheese burger, and I’ll definitely be going back for more. I love that it’s not fast food! I also enjoy keeping my money local and shopping local.
