Reviews
If you’re anywhere near DC and craving a delicious ham for the holidays or just a special dinner, I highly recommend the Honey Baked Ham store on Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge ( 2950 Prince William Parkway). It’s in a long shopping center right along a pretty busy road, so getting there is fairly clearcut. There are no crazy detours or anything. The shop’s in a bustling shopping center with several other stores. This means that on peak days, finding a parking spot close by can be a bit of a hunt.I have been to this store several times and have had this happen to me. I had to park a bit away. This time we went to get a ham for a Christmas dinner. What really stood out for me was the staff. They were absolutely wonderful. The two ladies behind the counter helped us navigate the options, explaining the differences between bone-in hams, pre-sliced ones, and various sizes (all pre-cooked, of course). We ended up with a fairly large one that rang up over $100, but man, it was worth it. When we got it to the party, we did not have to spend hours cooking. It was super easy to heat up following their instructions, and it was downright delicious—juicy, flavorful, that signature sweet glaze… perfection. Like I said at the beginning of this review, I highly recommend this place. The people are friendly and knowledgeable, the food quality is outstanding, and the prices feel fair for what you get. We’ll definitely be back!
As I was walking to find a seat, I saw these recipes. One is a mixed bean soup recipe that calls for a honey baked ham bone. I sat down. She came out in minutes with my sandwhich, and saw I had the recipe card… I inquired if the ham bone is a whole bone in ham or the actual ham bone. I expressed I’m going to make the soup tomorrow and if they have any ham bones. She wasn’t sure and said if they don’t she’ll prepare one for me. LOVE LOVE LOVE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I found that this remark was upsetting, rude, and unnecessary especially since i have never been to this establishment before. All that was required was “sorry maam we are only fulfilling ham orders due to the holiday” and that would have been fine. This has left such an unflattering impression on me and the tone of the employees that operate this business. I would hope that all customers are met with compassion, education, and invitation when dining and that mark was already missed before i even purchased anything.
I’m a little pissed because I just got home and my order is not satisfactory. If I’m ordering an almost $12 sandwich, I’m gonna need more than 1 slice of meat on it (picture attached). The only time this store has customers is around the holidays so I don’t understand why I can’t get a reasonable amount of sandwich meat on the sandwich. I also asked the employee for no tomatoes on both my sandwiches and low and beyond I open both my sandwiches to tomatoes on them. I’m not a fan of incompetence and I specifically called the employee from the back to remind her not to put tomatoes on it. Then I didn’t appreciate the other employee not handing me my bag and as I went to reach for it he just dropped it on the counter. I was just in here 2 days ago and had a completely different experience. Do better!
2nd Update from 3/07/26
So after writing my review and filling out a complaint on the website, I was called by the general manager of this location. Needless to say that conversation went left really fast because he had the nerve to first call me a liar by saying he didn’t put one piece of meat on the sandwich even though I had proof and then said that some people will mess up food to get it for free as if I didn’t just get a free sandwich with my purchase. He then tells me I can bring it back but he still didn’t believe he put one piece of meat on it because he has been working there for 2 years and has never did that before as if there isn’t a first time for everything. Then after cursing him out he apologized and said I could bring it back and he would make new ones. As a paying customer an apology should have been his first response and follow up with correcting it. So I told him I didn’t want him to make a damn thing and that I was coming up there to show him the pictures and the sandwiches and that I wanted the other employee to make my food. When I arrived the other employee a young lady was very nice and I showed her what I had received and she was very apologetic and helpful. I attached a collage of what was advertised, what I received, and the corrected sandwich after everything was fixed. Don’t ever call your customer a liar when you are the one who messed up.
