I do not want to give the Forestville MD store any stars!! I have been purchasing a ham from this store, for Thanksgiving, when I would go with my Mom in the 1960’s as a little girl. Every Thanksgiving eve we would stand in line (30 mins or more) to purchase a ham. There has always been a line. It didn’t matter because you met people, and you shared Holiday stories. Well this Year, 2025, was HORRIBLE. The manager needs to be fired or reassigned to another store. There were 2 lines, one for pre-orders and one for persons like myself who are purchasing on that day. I arrived at 12 noon. Initially, the purchase-day-of-line was moving, but at some point the preorder line became very long and that’s when the clerk managing the line states, the purchase-day-of persons can no longer purchase, and “explains” that the pre-order line takes priority, per the Manager. So after standing and waiting patiently for 2 hours, the purchase-day-of persons are told, you can stand here and wait if you want, but you will NOT get in the store. I have never experienced such “piss poor” planning. Anyone who knows the HB store in Forestville knows there’s a line, ALWAYS, on Thanksgiving eve. I left after that announcement and drove to Waldorf, but it is inexcusable that Forestville was NOT PREPARED for a line that they knew or should have known was going to occur. I hope corporate reads this and sends a reprimand to the Forestville store.

The Cashier/or Manager Jacqueline was very nice and pleasant, she greeted us immediately. Made sure we were alright and everything was clear with our orders. She was suggestive on what goes best with our meals, she was very diligent with the beverage machine when we told her most of the flavorings were out and she kept working on it so we could have the beverages we wanted to enjoy. After a while she had to put an out of order sign up. She checked on us often as we dined up until we left, her overall customer service was wonderful!! As others came in she was the same way and helpful to those who were handicapped so I could appreciate her services throughout the entire visit and experience. The Ambiance was clean, neatly organized outside and inside. I forgot HB doesn’t give semi thin slices of meat like a deli!! So the Tavern club was stacked!! With both turkey and ham!! definitely WORTH IT!! just a lot of meat but on Croissant it’s amaaazing with the hickory honey/dijon mustard!!

BEST HONEYBACKED HAM I HAVE BEEN TO !
I have been doing to these in multiple states for about 20 years, and this one in Forestville, Maryland outside of Washington, D.C. is the best one, especially due to the ladies on the staff. They are very efficient, they know the menu and take-home meals & hams super well, to include being helpful about preparation & cooking. I always hear them being helpful and answering questions super well. In particular, Kiyana, as she is always friendly & fast. Whenever coming down the Interstate I-95 / 495 beltway, I make it a point to come here over all others at those exits. This particular location is surrounded by many stores, such as Target, and gas stations.
Of course, the quality, variety, and taste of everything that Honeybaked Ham sells is hard to beat.

I could not believe this store. People were lined up outside trying to get in line. This was my first time and I knew the food had to be good with so many people standing in line. I purchased a 7 pound Honey Baked Ham and a small sliced Turkey packet. The manager was so helpful but she sent Mr Alonzo to complete my order. He took care of my needs and brought all the Ham with him to the front counter. I will return to this store again. The food and customer service was outstanding.

Thank-you honey baked ham, I will be baking my own ham for now on. I pre ordered and paid for my ham in advance, so I could avoid the long lines. I arrived at 2:30, and I still.had to wait in line. I didnt get my ham until 3:30. I don’t understand why this happened, this store has been around for years and it seems like the service is getting worse. The line for customer who hadn’t paid was shorter than the line for the prepaid customer , please help me make since of this. The worker came out and said to the prepaid line, that the tap machine is down, so you are doing to need your cards. Every one in the line looked at the worker confused, and stated that we have already paid. Their workers don’t know whats going on.

I waited in line for over an hour and a half on 11/26 for a ham that I pre-ordered. I had a timeslot for 6-6:30 PM. People that prepaid also waited over an hour. I was disappointed that not only did I not get a ham for thanksgiving but I wasted my time.
The staff was rude & giving out conflicting information. The manager would not even speak to customers who were confused & frustrated.
To make matters worse if you prepaid and couldn’t wait over an hour in line, you can’t get a refund until the Friday after thanksgiving.
The line was so long that even the police department was manning the door especially as the crowd got rowdy.
If the store didn’t have the bandwidth to fulfill that many orders, why accept them?
A crowd that large outside of the store is a safety concern & should have been better managed.

Their ham is the best!!! Today I had ordered a barbecue ham sandwich and it was excellent . Also the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Never again. Ham pick up time was 5:30 pm and I am still in line with another 30+ minute wait until I reach the door. No staff is communicating with customers in the line and no one is answering the phones. Unacceptable.
