The Highway Brewing Company opened in January 2018 and is located in downtown West Branch, Michigan. Serving delicious flavors in a historical building, The Highway offers a unique atmosphere. The Highway offers many flagship brews and rotating seasonal offerings all brewed on site, as well as crafted cocktails. The Highway’s interior, designed by owners Ethan and Erin Resteiner, pays tribute to the history of the building as the original West Branch Fire Hall. The multi-level brewpub offers the choice to observe Houghton Avenue through the original style windows in the 2nd floor lounge, catch some fresh air on the 2nd floor rooftop patio, or enjoy the main dining room complete with a repurposed brick bar and operating glass garage door.

Super quick, kind service. Great selection on the menu and I was thrilled that they had a hazy IPA. I loved everything. It was quick, it was tasty, it was quality and very much exceeded my expectations. Locals, don’t sleep on this place. It can be enjoyed for years to come if we continue to support it! I especially loved the Christmas/New Year envelope giveaway. The owners/operators of this establishment know what they are doing and I plan to come every time I’m in town! High quality! Definitely recommend! Also, please keep the jalapeño raspberry burger on the menu all the time. It was exactly what I was hoping for and was SO excited to see it on the specials!! Thank you for the great experience!

My son and I stopped at The Highway Brewing Co. in West Branch for lunch today and just like my first visit, was met by a charming hostess, waited on by an attentive waitress, and surrounded by a lively, fun atmosphere. I had the Salmon Risotto, and wow, it looked like something I would expect from a fine dining restaurant, and tasted just as good! I had a glass of Merlot while my son enjoyed a Southern Chicken Biscuit Sandwich with the house Hobo City stout which he also enjoyed. After this fun visit, I know it won’t be long before I’ll be back.

Tucked away, this gem is a great stop on a small town. While they offer delicious beer with a few dedicated options, the real gem is the food. From appetizers to entrees, you will not be disappointed by the variety of food and dips that are there. Parking is tight so plan accordingly, don’t miss out on this little place.

WOW!!! One of the best breweries we have been to. We tried 6 different beers and all of them were superb! The food was out of this world! I had the pub burger. By far the best burger I have ever had. Our server Clare was sweet and knowledgeable. Highly recommend a visit here!

Recommend the lamb they currently have on special, duck nachos were also delicious, and the hard cider from the local zettle cellars was awesome! Waitress was attentive arms friendly! Overall really nice meal!

This was a great dining experience. Not too far from the highway for travelers and located in a nice downtown area. The burger and southern biscuit sandwich were cooked perfectly, and the spiral French fries were a great mix of crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Would definitely come back here again!

Heading back to Detroit from Mackinaw City and stopped in here for lunch. Wow, what a great place. I had two flights and I l really liked at least 7 . The food was really good, I had the turkey sandwich, it was really good. Service was good. The atmosphere was chill, very friendly people. So, I personally like this place. The Angry Bride amber was just ok, but I love that name

Great place for food and beer! Had the burger local sourced beef and all the fun stuff..they even cooked it medium rare! Stop. Here grab a beer and lunch food was reasonable for the great quality food..yeah they put the hard work to make the meal amazing! The duck nachos looking amazing we settled for the pub burger damm tasty! Again way more than expected..just stop here and try it out u won’t be disappointed
