The food is 10/10.
I’ve tried the hearty whole grain bowls, the burrata and the avocado toasts, the breakfast tacos, and the burritos – all amazing. still working my way to trying their sweet section and the mini waffle sampler. There’s something for everyone on the menu. I always appreciate a diverse yet neat menu.
Pictured is the amazing burrata toast and breakfast tacos with iced caramel macchiato.
Delicious coffee as well.
The decorations inside are so fun it’s hard to resist to not snap a selfie!
My husband ordered the blueberry French toast , which came out as an impressive stack and were beautifully presented. The flavors were outstanding, perfectly sweet, fresh, and indulgent.
Our daughter had the Nutella pancakes and was in pure Nutella heaven. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and generously layered, a true treat for anyone with a sweet tooth.
From the presentation to the flavors, The Hen exceeded all expectations. Beautiful food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere make this a place you will want to return to again and again.
The food was delicious for the time it takes to serve. To get water you have to go to the bar and get water from the tap. I forgot to ask for some while at the register because I didn’t realize I needed to ask. The price of the food is decent.
Service is odd- order at the counter, drinks are pick up only/self-serve water, you are seated after ordering, and there is table-to-table bussing of plates and utensils.
Like a cafeteria with assigned seating. Not bad, just a surprise.
There are so many cameras that we wondered if there were previous/ongoing issues with safety there.
The waffle flight was a delight! The grain bowl needs more sauce and is very fresh
Here is my review of The Hen, in Ann Arbor Michigan. I Got the BLTE&A on gluten free bread. The sandwich was very well made. It didn’t fall apart right away like most gluten free bread does IYKYK, the egg was moist but not enough to fall apart and ruin the texture of the egg. The bacon was crispy and not too greasy. The avacado was fresh and paired well with the sandwich. The lettuce and tomato were also crispy, I don’t usually eat them but they were just right for me to eat this time. They currently have their fall drinks out. I love their seating they have. My mom and I sat in these chairs that were almost like bungee cord material so it was soft and bouncy. They have two gender neutral bathrooms. A cool feature I notice was they have charging stations everywhere (even one in the bathroom on the little stand) the atmosphere is very inviting. I will post more pictures in the comments.
They have many gluten free options and I felt safe eating there.
The manager is super friendly.
10/10 would recommend and would definitely eat here again
I do not really like the line system for ordering but I have to say they are extremely fast and the food comes to your table way faster than we you have a traditional server taking the order for you.
The parfait was delicious and the avocado toast was very tasty.
I loved the chill environment and the servers were super helpful and quick to help! I can’t wait to go back and highly recommend The Hen!!!!
Our only issue was the Tex Mex salad. There was so much in the medium bowl that it kept falling everywhere and was difficult to eat anything like the corn and beans since it all fell to the bottom to be covered in lettuce. It was very good, but executed incorrectly. Could have used another plate or bowl.
