The food at the hawk often gives me intense stomach pains and has never been satisfactory. For how much I am paying to attend this school I would accept better vegetarian options and overall more food that isn’t gross.

Every once in a while a man with a ring of keys comes by to unlatch a chef from the wall. No one knows where they take them.

One time I saw someone get their ashes spread here.

The last time I talked to the general manager, I left convinced that this building would survive all forms of armageddon out of pure spite. Even so, they still have to fly in a bishop every other month to bless this unholy place so that god doesn’t eradicate it.

Preparing for a Hawk insertion is a dangerous game. I recommend 4 pills of potassium iodide, level 4 body armor, 50 feet of rope (more if you can), and a 12 gauge. bring enough shells to take out the daily special, and then yourself. Remember: blink twice if you need extraction.

The biggest breakthrough Hawk scientists ever achieved is making pulled pork that is simultaneously soggy, yet dry. I’ve never seen a tapeworm beg for mercy until my buddy tried the rice here. Not only was it more overcooked than a burn victim, but it was also unbearably salty. Who the hell salts rice? If you told me the CIA developed this food to torture prisoners, I’d believe you.

Start off with small portions, you’ll build up a resistance.

I thought everything was very good. The way they had set it up is genius . Pay one set price and you can eat at all the different places in there, and food was rather good.

I had a good time! The food was good. And the service was very good. I had salmon with red potatoes and it was really good. I especially liked the Macadamia nut Cookie which had a good flavor to it. I sat alone in the back. I observed all the good company. I watched as people came in, and I watched them leave. I imagined I was one of them. It felt good.

Lots of pros and cons at The Hawk. Their food selection itself is good; they offer a wide variety of options during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can sometimes order a handmade omelette for breakfast, you can always order a custom sandwich, and usually, they have the grill going with some good options. The place is well put together, with enough space to accommodate all of its visitors most of the time. However, there are many students who report having gotten food poisoning here, sometimes on multiple occasions. The food isn’t always prepared properly; you can usually tell when a good chef is on shift and when they’re not. They also don’t offer a good variety for vegetarians or vegans. They will occasionally offer special food menu items, but this is not as common as it should be because those meals almost always taste good. Also, first year students are automatically charged for meals at The Hawk, which in my opinion there should be an option to opt out of the meal plan when registering. The employees are generally helpful, and can become so focused sometimes that it seems like they don’t care even though they usually do care (which, as a former restaurant worker, I completely understand). If this place would take student feedback seriously, it could become a much better place to eat. Still, for its convenience and its sometimes good meals, I give it 3/5 stars.

What an amazing place! I’ve been here a couple of times, and I’m just blown away each time. You just want a sandwich? You can design whatever you’d like. You want pizza? It was cooked in an amazing flame oven, on a stone, and it’s the best. Just a salad? Any ingredient you could think of. Coconut tofu curry? The best. Cereal? Waffles? Tacos? Asian inspired cuisine? It’s all there and then some, and I’m so grateful the school has such a resource as this. Outstanding.

Started off wirh fruit, the fruit was delightful. Next was the potatoes, they were devoid of flavor. No garlic, salt, pepper, I have eaten bread with more flavor. Next was the chicken sandwich, no real complaints for this one. I had 1.5. Fries were decent. The worst part was the horrendous cookies which could have sucked all the moisture from my mouth. Deserts are more moist than this. The pop was soapy and watery. Do better next time please. The ambiance 11/10 the mix of middle schoolers, geriatrics, and university students was wonderful. But ,a group of 4 12 year Olds almost ran me down, I felt afraid for my life.

Very much a college food hall, sparsely attended right now. The food is boring and institution. And even though it’s 2019 there’s no espresso machine in sight. I think a pastry shop or diner would have been a better choice. I’m sure I could have eaten fresher tasting food for the same $8.25.

This is our daughters eating hall at SOU. This is NOT the same kind of food I had at college many years ago! I always choose the vegetarian offerings, with lots of deliciously prepared veggie dishes YUM! They also offer burgers, pizza, salads, soups, sandwiches, stir fry and desserts. All of which I’m sure are all delicious, and all you can eat.
