An urban social escape – a place to pause, gather, and recharge. Good food, crafted drinks, and a setting that makes you forget the grind for a while.

best place in town. Best drinks, friendly staff and hot honey dips are out of this world.
Location is accessible right in heart of the city. Live music every Thursday’s. Noukh knows his cocktails. Must visit in Ronoake. Good times ✌️pool tables are fun.

Overall, I enjoyed my food. I only ordered a smash burger with the basics (tomato, lettuce pickles). The food was Good, but unfortunately the service wasn’t good. I understand they just opened , but i didn’t see my waitress (who was juggling bartending as well) for over 12 minutes.

Just ate there and wanted to leave a review since there aren’t many.

My husband and I went on a Wed between lunch and dinner, so unsurprisingly it wasn’t busy. We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately. I ordered one of the signature cocktails – Blueberry basil smash or something like that. It was delicious and pretty strong, although it didn’t taste too strong. Great drink!

We got the seared tuna app and were surprised at the amount of tuna for the price. The tuna and ginger sauce were good, but it was missing something salty. The fish either needed salt or I bet a soy glaze would have been amazing. It is rare that I say a restaurant dish is missing salt.

We split the pub roast beef sandwich and it was very tasty and tender, but a little light on the beef. It was good for the price but don’t split it. Still the green layer was thicker than the meat.

I love those twisty fries that seem to be a thing here in Roanoke and/or Virginia. So good.

It’s pretty dark in there and there are some pool tables. I never went when it was AA so can’t compare. The bathroom looked nice and was clean.

Overall, it was a good experience and I would go back.

We tried The Haven for dinner with friends to try new place and support local business. It all depends on what you want for the evening. If I were 20-30 years old, I think I would love this place. There is a bar, billiards and plenty of room to socialize. The food is just okay – not terrible but nothing special. My thoughts, you go here to meet with friends, have some drinks and hang out. That may be exactly what they intended! We are in our 50s and it just isn’t our vibe but I’m glad we tried it and I wish them all the best!

Checked out The Haven and loved it. The atmosphere is urban and slightly elevated but still very comfortable. Service, music, and especially the food were all excellent. It exceeded our expectations for a new spot; the menu feels familiar with a creative, custom touch. Excited to come back!

The owners do not support all genres or races in their establishment. They have a jukebox, but only allow certain music to be played. If any hip-hop/r&b is selected (even though it’s an option), they turn it down and make that very clear. Was even told that music is not up to par with what they want there. I will not be returning. I wish Awful’s was still here! They welcomed everyone.

The food was excellent – everything from the salmon, to sandwiches, to a side salad, which was very fresh. The fries were especially good and different! A shout out to our server, Victoria, who was very personable and checked on us frequently. However, the atmosphere was not at all what we expected from the description on their website. It turned out to be a very loud sports bar – the music was so loud that our party of 4 had a difficult time hearing each other and carrying on a conversation. About half of the restaurant consisted of pool tables, which added to the noise, and numerous TVs echoed the sports bar vibe. We had looked forward to the craft cocktails, as mentioned on the website, but the Old Fashioned (the only drink we ended up ordering) was not good – it tasted like orange soda with maybe a little bourbon or rye in it. The list of cocktails, wine and beer did not have any prices, which was strange. If you’re looking for a sports bar with good food, reasonable prices, plenty of pool tables and an ample beer list, this is your place – for a place to connect with friends over a great craft cocktail and conversation, this isn’t it.
