Found The Haven via Eater’s list of best fish and chips in Boston. The fish dinner was definitely delicious – crispy, tasty, with homemade tartar sauce and ketchup – but the Haddie Croquettes were exceptional. Smoked haddock, potatoes and, apparently, magic were well-balanced and perfectly seasoned, and the cherry chili aioli was delicious and an inventive accompaniment (also yummy with the fish and the chips). Service was excellent, very friendly. I went back looking for a lost earring, and Gabriella took my number and a photo of the other earring to share with the staff WhatsApp group. She thoughtfully texted me this morning to tell me that unfortunately it hadn’t been found. Truly above and beyond. Thank you! Please give her a gold star and a raise.

We had a wonderful experience working at The Haven for a corporate event this evening. The venue offered a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a well-organized layout that made setup and guest flow seamless. The staff was professional, responsive, and supportive throughout the event, which contributed greatly to its overall success.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Kenneth Wilson from Community Music Center of Boston for trusting Hello Photo Booth Rental to be part of this event. It was a pleasure collaborating with such a thoughtful and well-organized team.
We truly appreciate the opportunity and look forward to working together again in the future.

Wow! What a hidden gem. Wife is of Scottish descent so we had to stop in for brunch while visiting new England. We absolutely loved the ambiance and food. Had the English breakfast, Scottish egg and washed it down with a nice cider. Highly recommend.

I was prepared to give this a lower star ranking because the server seemed a bit overwhelmed and frazzled. She went through our order twice and still didn’t repeat it correctly, so we definitely didn’t think our food was going to come out right. But honestly, it was great! We were looking for authentic fish and chips, and we were not disappointed. They were exactly what we were hoping for. We were taking a brewery tour at Sam Adams next door and typed in ‘fish and chips’ and this was highly ranked so we had high expectations. Drinks were good, nice atmosphere,… The brioche french toast was amazing!! Homemade whipped cream was perfection! Glad we stopped!

Great Scottish place around Boston!! Reminded us about all the best things about our Edinburgh trip!!
Food was delicious, would highly recommend the Shepard’s pie and sticky toffee pudding. But honestly everything we drank and ate, we enjoyed. Also felt like we got a great value for the meal we had! We would highly recommend to friends and family!

A very cool loft-style restaurant, a former brewery. The building holds a lot of history. Incredibly delicious food and good service. Delicious cocktails too. I recommend visiting.

The Scotch egg may be one of the best things I have ever eaten. I am still thinking about it two days later. The fish and chips were amazing, too. The host was delightful and our server was very sweet. Our cokes were flat — not a single, solitary bubble of carbonation. But that’s easily forgivable, especially given how excellent the food and service was. Loved it and can’t wait to go back.

Great spot in the heart of JP for hearty Scottish food and a pint! The sassich and mash was buttery with delicious gravy and nice accompaniment of veggies. One of the few places to find thick, creamy, and smokey cullen skink. Dining hall and bar has some rustic but funky decorations.

Biggest mussels in Boston
Fish Supper – crispy and delicious
Note they have a patio but only allow service dogs.
The interior is much nicer than the main pictures. This is a place you can have a business lunch, a family outing or a date. We would come back again
There is also plenty of parking

Love this place for tastings or food or events! Whatever it is is amazing. I love scotch whisky and it has the BEST selection in Boston but even our friends who aren’t into whisky can find stuff they like. The food is also awesome, for my omnivore partner and myself as a vegetarian. He always gets a scotch egg and we get deep fried mars bar (pictured) and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The haggis is pictured too. Something for everyone and Jason, the owner, is a legend. He puts on great tastings and events, highly recommended.
