Before we go on with the food I want to talk about the place, it’s set in quiet corner of a gas station that is frequented by the trucks and large delivery vehicles and their drivers stop by to grab a bite.the place is set against massive hills on one side and massive green fields on the other side and it’s really like a hidden little gem like place.
Now about the food, the place had some amazing option for meat lovers but we are vegetarians and opted for obviously vegetarian options and the food was just amazing.
We order the Tandoori paneer tikka sizzler and it was so so so so so good and the portions were much we couldn’t finish it all and I proudly got the leftovers home and eat them. The paneer was home made super soft and very well marinated and grilled just perfect
Next up we ordered MIX VEG and tawa roti.
I don’t think we have ever ever eaten such soft rotis that so freshly made and served with a side of butter any where in Bay Area.
The Mix Veg curry was delicious beyond words and got home the left overs happily.
The portions are good enough for 2 people and still some is left. After all the amazing food. I decided to do a togo of dhuli mung dal,
And MY MY MY, what a good decision it was the dal was made so well not super spicy no crap jus amazing in taste and flavour
I was so happy we went to this place and the food DIDNT have an ounce of baking SODA or anything just pure home made flavours.
By the end of it the serving also gave us complimentary tea which was really kind of them.
Driving about 2 hours was a worth while effort
AM I GOING BACK ??? ABSOLUTELY
This is probably one of the best gas station break surprises (good type). We were driving to a Christmas getaway and were amazingly surprised by this Indian place. They have a great selection of Indian foods, with snacks like break pakoda , to the chicken tandoors. They definitely make their food onsite and you can taste the authenticity. If you are around, please try their food, it’s worth trying. Given the humdrum of Indian restaurants everywhere around Bay Area, which are growing like weeds, this one is a gem. We live in Dublin, and we will drive 30-40 mins to come here again
The condiments(achar) on the side were to die for. Spicy and delicious and so was the mixed kulcha and dal makhni. Most importantly them serving in a beautiful steel thali and silverware shows the standards they maintain despite being a small restaurant by the fwy next to a gas station, something the Bay Area Indian restaurants should learn from who be stingy in their serving plate quality. The place was clean, the atmosphere and the host was welcoming. Would definitely stop by again on my next travel!
My husband had chicken kebabs that came out on a sizzling plate. He said his dish was delicious. We also split garlic naan and we were stuffed.
The gentleman taking our order was very nice. You order and pay, but they bring your food to you. The serving trays that everyone gets with their silverware and bowl were very pretty. We were too busy devouring our food to think about taking more photos.
Wish this place was closer to home but we’ll stop by when we’re on the road. There seemed to be a fair amount of regulars that eat here. The owners talked with several different tables while we were there.
As you can see with the butter chicken, The presentation is on point. They serve the food in shiny stainless steel platters. You sort of feel like royalty when you walk into this place to be honest.
Everything about this restaurant is really a home run.
I gorged myself, I had never really eaten Indian food before, So I really didn’t know what to expect, But I figured I would give it a shot. I ordered goat, curry, and butter chicken, And at the counter, They show you 16 and 32 ounce sizes. And then when you eat, and they bring the food to you and I do believe that you actually get more food when you eat in, Because I know that those to go containers….
All I’m saying is, They know how to take care of the customer. Now I have to go starve myself for a few days because I gorged myself Over the last 24 hours.
The Garlic nann was a bit thicker than I’m used to but was delicious regardless.
Will be going again when I’m passing through .
The food tasted good but the hygiene appears to be lacking in the kitchen.
The chicken tiki was very good, great flavor and nice chunk a of chicken. The garlic nan was the issue, found a fiber that looked like it came from a basting brush first, I was fine with that, things happen, however, on under the next piece of nan, awaited a thick curly hair. It looked like a pubs or beard hair. Was just too much for me and couldn’t finish what was otherwise a tasty meal.
Very disappointing.
