We stopped in at the old location a bit after the kitchen had closed. Only a couple people were in the place. The bartender asked the owner / chef who was still around if he wanted to open up the kitchen to make us some food and he kindly agreed! We ate some food made with his incredible traditionally smoked, locally caught fish and enjoyed a couple drinks from the bar.
Great atmosphere, and really delicious food and drink. The traditionally smoked fish is a must-try. A unique place that we will definitely return to any time we are in Astoria.

This place rocks! We’re out of towners escaping the wildfires and stopped in here because of the Norwegian themed menu. We loved the eclectic metal music bar vibes, friendly patrons and staff, and dog friendly approach. The charcuterie boards and lefse are excellent and well priced. Great beer selection too. We’d be regulars here if we lived in town!

Incredible venue, good shows, cheap beer. Felt safe with all my queer homies there. Absolutely would come again and again and again and again.

Didn’t have food just two drinks that were poured very well. Staff was super friendly and it seems a spot where locals gather, the few people there seemed to know each other and the owners. One of the bar tenders said they’re moving locations soon to a bigger venue. Next time we visit I definitely want to check it out. If you like doom/goth bars, check this place out. It’s small, but sounds like once they move they’ll have a way bigger space.

They recently moved locations to a closed-down bike shop, all of the bikes & accessories are still in there, and have been since they re-opened, which is a bit off-putting.
Overall, though, I’m sure they’re going to do great things with this new location!
Always the best live music, even little raves!
They only serve pretzels, which sucks for celiac people like myself.
Can’t beat a freshly squeezed oj & gin, though, so I’ll drink there regardless of the lack of food
I certainly hope Astoria’s first and only goth bar prospers & go’s great places!! Can’t wait for them to open the downstairs venue

Such a good vibe — nostalgically dark, arty, and a little punk. We had a great conversation with the kind and alluring bartender and some very cool folks from Bend. Just what we needed for a last drink in Oregon before heading north in the morning. (We didn’t get food, but the Benders did and they were ecstatic with the Nordic menu.)

nice bar with a surprisingly eclectic menu. EDM in the background (which they kindly turned down). They were down a bartender, and Herself helped design a drink for an adventurous customer
Beet-eggs and pretzels were top-notch. smoked salmon Norwegian burrito was okay. She reported that her mac-and-cheese-with-meatballs was good
