Came for lunch on a Sunday. This place is super fun!

They have a tablet that you check in, and they give you a number and an estimated wait time.

You order your drinks from the menu above your table and a robot comes by to bring them to you.

The food comes on a conveyer belt, which is clearly labeled. You can also order specific items from the touch screen you order drinks at and it comes directly to your table on a conveyer belt.

The vibe here is fun, the staff leave you alone unless you need them. This is a must stop in the Mall of America.

I’ve dined at Kura many times and the food quality has always been great! The fish tastes fresh and there’s a variety of sushi options to try, which is great for bringing friends. For those that don’t like seafood, there are cooked options like wagyu, tempura, and noodles too. They even have a decent selection of options for vegetarians! I’d recommend saving some space for their mochi desserts or the tayaki ice cream. Kura is a great place to try new foods. My only tip is to reserve early if you plan on getting dinner

The establishment presents a pleasant dining option within the shopping mall; however, the food prices tend to escalate rapidly. Each plate on the revolving belt incurs a cost of approximately $4.50. Given the modest size of these portions, one might be inclined to consume multiple servings—yet, this can quickly accumulate expenses. Below is the expenditure for my family of five. The prices are not explicitly listed, which is a primary reason for assigning a rating of three. I hope this information proves helpful should you read this review. The bowls are priced around $12. The taste of the meals resembles what one might find at typical Japanese restaurants in San Francisco or Los Angeles, and does not replicate an authentic Japanese culinary experience. Therefore, if you are very hungry, I would recommend foregoing this option; however, if you seek a brief Japanese culinary experience and a quick meal, it would be acceptable.

This kura location is the best, especially if you get the GOAT Kevin as a server. The sushi is fresh but his service was even fresher. Kevin ensured we had a perfect experience.

Decent experience overall! I love sushi, and the concept of the revolving belt was fun. You can choose what you want and insert the plates into the dispenser, which counts your dishes.

It seemed like a lot of the sushi was not avaliable when we went, possibly because it was later in the night. But other than that, it was a good and a fun experience.

Major shout out to Eli– my fiancée and I have visited Kura Sushi a number of times, and notably, they have provided great customer service. We keep coming back because of them and other staff members that have been helpful.

The quality of the food is higher than a traditional AYCE Sushi place, and the price is close to a single person AYCE rate nowadays. It’s also an “eat at your own pace” affair, with the sushi conveyor belt always rotating options to try, mainly popular menu items. You could easily be in and out in less than 30 minutes if you like the popular sushi options. There’s a tablet kiosk at the table to order food, drinks, dessert, or other special items to be directly conveyed to your table. They have little robots to bring your drinks, which is cute.

This restaurant can get packed at times, and reservations are needed based on the day or time of year. During the weekdays, it’s usually fine. Many people that are reviewing or have reviewed here don’t understand this, and aren’t being reasonable. They have an app for reservations, people…

Another thing is their collabs, which usually are with brands, characters, etc. They always run out of certain items, but, we’ve usually been able to get a few extra smaller freebies without much hassle, and leave happier because of it.

It’s a fun little experience at the Mall of America, and a good break from traditional restaurants! Try it out the next time you visit.

Excited to experience this Japanese restaurant experience. I love the revolving Sushi bars in Japan. Only downside was the Tuna plates were always gone by the time the belt made it to our table.

Sitting at your table with a never-ending flow of delicious sushi going by you….this is a place of pure happiness! The bottom conveyor belt is sushi for anyone, just grab what looks good. We enjoyed the sushi options. Also be sure to check out items on the menu too, those are delivered right to your table from the top conveyor belt. As a sushi lover I thought the price was inexpensive compared to other sushi resturants. This is such a fun and different resturant concept.

A great alternative for dinner when visiting Mall of America.

Not what I was thinking when I was searching for places to eat dinner at Mall of America, but when but when I saw revolving place my curiosity sparked.

The process here is very simple. Each play cost $4. There are also other options you can order from an on-screen menu that are a bit of a higher price such as udon or ramen. All the plates get delivered to you via conveyor belt or a cute robot.

Such a healthy alternative to eating dinner. The udon was fantastic. The ramen was super tasty. And the Crunchyroll sushi were fantastic! We even order ice cream and frozen mochi.

You can portion out your meals. And if you’re hungry for more, just pull out a plate from the conveyor belt. There’s a nice screen that provides you details of what you’ve ordered thus far Which is nice because the plates do add up. Kids had a blast watching the food being prepared from the sea through windows that show the inner workings in the kitchen.

Big kudos for Tyler who explained to me the process and really motivated me to try it out. Also big shout-out to Joey who is our server at the time for his assistance during our visit. These two are great representatives for the restaurant.

Highly recommend trying this place out. I do recommended reservations which can be easily made at the kiosk in front of the restaurant. I will return. I’m a now a big fan.
