Walked upon this place and so happy we ate here!! I knew we came upon a phenomenal place as we were waiting to order and the phone was ringing every other minute for to go orders!! They were so kind and good people. The food is incredible!! One of us got the half chicken platter with mustard and spicy sauce, the other got pulled pork sandwich with sweet sauce…all AMAZING! Potato salad was best I’ve ever had; Cole slaw was divine! And the place is so cute. The courtyard is darling and the inside does the job to make the amazing food!

The food was very good, great lunchtime fare. The pulled pork was a little dry, but the mustard BBQ sauce was very good. Wife loved the chicken salad and pimento, and said the potato salad tasted very fresh and homemade. We also tried the choc chip and walnut cookie and we’re not disappointed.

This place was an absolute gem!
It was my boyfriend and I’s first time here and we will most definitely be back!! I’m not a huge sandwich person but I could personally eat one of these bad boys everyday that’s just how good and fresh it was. The atmosphere and the staff were also amazing. Definitely a must go to give it a shot!

We had a nice lunch at the Happy Tomato. The service was just as good as the food. We tried the blt, pulled pork, and a smoked chicken sandwich. All of the sandwiches were generously portioned. The courtyard is small, but I enjoyed the quiet. The majority of the seating is outside. I would encourage you to give them a try if you’re in the area.

Not our first visit to this fabulous, half-hidden lunch place in charming downtown Fernandina. We love how this place has a private courtyard away from the street.
Order lunch at the counter and grab your drinks and a table outdoors. They’ll bring your food to your table.
Once again, we got some of their fabulous BBQ. It never disappoints. This visit, we ordered The Max, which is a pulled pork and pimento cheese on whole wheat bread, served with pickles and a bag of chips. We also ordered the Smoked Pulled Turkey, which is served on a soft roll with a side of pickles and a bag of chips. We also ordered a side of coleslaw and two Ice Teas for a filling and tasty lunch.
I’ve had my eye on their BLT and might try it one of these times, but their BBQ is so good. All come with a choice of Sweet or Spicy BBQ Sauce or Mustard BBQ Sauce.
The whole menu looks great and we’ve enjoyed their house-made cookies on another visit.

LOVE this place! Their food is extremely fresh and very good! I got the West Coast Veggie with a side of pasta salad which is 100% vegan! Richard took our order and was very nice and hilarious! The food came out within 3 minutes of us ordering. This place is such a vibe I highly recommend this!

First time and I really enjoyed it. The food was delicious. We ordered the roast beef, ham, turkey, bacon, and cheese sandwich, and the pulled pork with pimento cheese. The max and the monster club were the names and they were very delicious. I highly recommend. For the sides we had pasta salad and potato salad. Both were delicious. The pasta salad was one of the best pasta salads I’ve had. The dressing was very tasty. For dessert, we split a giant cookie. It was clear that everything was made in house with fresh ingredients. The service was great. The atmosphere was phenomenal. Very quaint little garden tucked away from everything else. Really pleasant. Will definitely return.

They’re large sandwiches with a heaping helping of meat. The meat is tender and juicy with just the right hint of smoke.
I got the mustard sauce which was very good, but my wife got the sweet sauce that stuff is amazing.
The sweet tea is outstanding, easily the best I’ve had in quite awhile.
We had a few people sitting around us with different dishes. Everything was looking and smelling great. The folks next to us had 1/2 chickens. I’ll be trying that before we head home tomorrow.
The outside seating is in a nice little courtyard with the gentle breeze flowing through.
