After reading the reviews from fellow disappointed customers of Seoul Garden, we decided to try this place. We reserved an hour or so in advance and arrived on time. Our table was ready and waiting. The service was great. The food was also great, especially on a freezing cold night–wonderful hot Pho soup, bursting with flavor. The Hangout was full of locals and very well organized. Clean, nicely decorated, and authentic. I highly recommend!

Had lunch with my sisters here on a rainy Friday afternoon. Ordered 3 lunch specials: spicy noodles soup, classic chicken soup and yellow rice with chicken. All the dishes tasted good. The spring rolls both fried and fresh were also good. It would have been nice if the rolls had more meat or herbs, since I think the proportion of noodles to the rest is quite large.

We were craving Vietnam broth dishes and The Hangout seemed like a good option given the diverse menu and good reviews. The service was nice with friendly staffs. It was a Saturday night so it was very busy, with only 2 waiting staffs and 2 cooks (we could see right into the kitchen with our seating arrangements), everything seemed like overload at that time for the staffs.

We ordered the Hue beef rice noodle soup – Bún Bò Huế (1), beef thick rice noodle soup – Phở Bò (2) and fried fish rice noodle salad – Bún Chả Cá. I shared with my husband both dish 1 and 2, and these were our least pleasant experience of rice noodle soups we had have in so long in and out of Vietnam. The broth of the Bun Bo Hue has no rich, spicy, and aromatic savory flavor of lemongrass and chili. There is a strong presence of fish sauce. The Phở Bò broth tasted like it was being masked with plentiful of MSG. The only things to recommend are the tenderness and flavorful beef, the nice presentation of the food, the delicious salted coffee and the lovely and attentive staffs.

We ate the phở bò and bún bò huế with some nem Hà Nội to boot. Everything tasted good and really reminded us of Vietnam. The broths were fragrant and flavorful, had enough noodles to fill your belly. The salted coffee is also amazing and a personal favorite (remember to stir before drinking). For anyone with a craving for Vietnamese soul food, the hangout is the place to be.

Tried The Hangout for the first time and honestly a bit disappointed. We both had starters and a dish consisting of chicken with rice as a main. The food was fine, nothing wrong with it, but very average and not memorable at all. Portions were really small for the price, (Two mains cost €35) which feels off.

Drinks were tasty and the atmosphere was nice, but service was slow even though it did not seem that busy. Overall, it just didn’t live up to the price tag.

Wonderful food. Always saw this place quite packed. Finally went here, took the hainan chicken and phǒ. Really good, close to the authentic one (maybe because the cook and owners might be viet or at least lived in viet?). Recommended! Book beforehand, in case it’s a full-house 🙂

The food was v good, and I love the decoration of the restaurant.
But is it normal to charge the fee of tap water in this city? Even more pricey than the mineral water sold in the grocery!

Walked in, vibe was immediately hitting: cozy, colorful, super inviting, real good energy.

Service ON POINT , helped me lock in my order like family . Started with fresh prawn spring rolls — CRAZY good, flavor went hard . Then smashed a noodle soup with beef & chicken… listennnn, that bowl had NO business being that tasty ‍ . Flavors poppingggg, everything fresh, no misses.

Mood approved: 10/10 ✨
Service ON POINT: 11/10
Great taste, certified: 11/10 ️

Highly recommended and definitely a dangerous repeat spot!

BIG LOVE ❤️ to the @thehangout.denhaag team — honestly, I enjoyed every bite!

The bún bò Huế was served with the kind of bún typically served with bún thịt nướng.

The broth was flavorful. Overall it was a good soup on a chilly day.
