My boyfriend and I had dinner here yesterday. He uses a wheelchair. There was a wait for a table inside, so we sat at the bar. The hostess suggested sitting outside and mentioned there were heaters, but it was extremely cold, and due to his disability, my boyfriend cannot tolerate cold weather. I went outside to check it out—there was live music and a beautiful lake view, but the heaters were not sufficient to keep the area warm.

Once seated at the bar, we ordered food and beers. If you’re visiting The Half Wall for drinks—especially beer—you’ll love it. They have an amazing selection with tons of variety, and it’s a fun atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the prices. The beer mussels were about a 6/10—very salty and the broth was watery. The pork schnitzel was a 4/10: the potatoes were hard and undercooked with no flavor, and the pork was soggy instead of crispy. I paid an extra $3 to substitute a salad (which was actually very good) and $0.50 for ranch dressing, but it took 45 minutes to arrive, at which point I no longer needed it.

The bartender seemed extremely stressed. My boyfriend ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and enjoyed it, rating it a 6/10, especially because it included vegetables.

Overall, this is a great spot for beers and drinks, but the food is nothing special.

You can rely on consistent food here. I love to order the dark and stormy flight as all of the dark beers are great! The beer cheese soup is rather thick, but the taste is delicious. The cheese curds are a must! Lightly dusted and not over fried. The salads are large and fresh so if you are looking for a lighter meal, get one! The burgers are a bit over done but tasty.

Definitely a beer garden atmosphere. Hard floors and tables so it gets really noisy. That said, the service is great and the food good. Fries look and taste freshly made.

Jenna T was awesome. Great personality and service. Everyone was very welcoming and attentive. All of our food was great and fresh from the nachos and cheese curds, to the salads, coleslaw, poke, and burger. The clearly hand dipped beer battered fish and chips were the best I’ve had in a long time. The draft porter, beers and ciders were all very good. Great dinner for our visit from down south to see family. Prices were reasonable and atmosphere nice too. Very clean. We will be back.

First time at the New Smyrna location. Food was good. Building is a lot bigger than the Deland location.

The food was good had a bacon cheeseburger and fiance had the mac and cheese with blackened chicken. Ordered another round of drinks that took 20 mins to get. The bathrooms were disgusting with garbage and pee all over

I’ve been here several times, sometimes as a party of 1 and others with 5-8 friends after tennis.
I gave four stars instead of five, not because I’ve been disappointed but I just haven’t been wowed either. I’m a craft beer guy and they have a big selection, but their own beers are mid, IMO.
Good burgers, although my medium rare Cowboy burger yesterday didn’t have a drop of juice/fat left in it. In the photos you’ll see that I’ve tried other menu selections as well. They have good wings and good apps. It’s a big place so you’ll probably never have to wait to be seated. I’m sure I’ll stop in several more times before I die.

I loved this spot.

Close to 95 and they have a really big menu that has things like meatloaf and burgers and chicken, wings, and beer, beer, beer, beer.

Service was fab.
Restaurant was clean.

But what you really wanna hear about is the food:
Fries – crisp, hot and good compliment to the burgers.
Wings – mild to hot, with cool flavors like teriyaki, honey garlic and sweet chili.
Sweet Chili Wings- the best of the wing flavors we tried.
Cheeseburger- really good.
Black and Blue Burger – good burger choice, which my wife got with hot sauce.

No dessert, so I cannot comment on that.

This is a bar and grill with an emphasis on beer, and they do it well. The restaurant is enormous with booths, hightops and low tops, clearly they could hold 5x’s the number of diners when we were there.

Fun for a date, to watch a game or hang out with your friends.

Upon visiting New Smyrna over Father’s Day weekend we ventured to try a local brewery. We were seated immediately and we’re lucky enough to be inside while a storm popped up. Past the bar area is additional restaurant seating where my three kids, husband and father in law were seated. The food menu was different than what was on their website. This brewery was clean and had plenty of seating. As far as their beers they were ok so the flight was a good way to not commit to a 16 oz house brew. I personally liked their seasonal brew the best. The meatloaf was straightforward and grandpa said it was just like the description. Thr ahi poke bowl ahi pieces were large and had to be cut with a knife. If you are looking for something on thr lighter side this is light. This is not spicy at all. I was hoping for some wasabi. The cheese tortellini were absolutely incredible and the grilled shrimp made it a favorite. The portion sizes here are really big. They can accommodate a large party and do have the stay and hang out feel. We were not rushed in anyway to get up from our table.

Food was yummy but portions were small IMO. I never finish an entire dish, I prefer leftovers for a late night snack, however this time I did and was still a little hungry. Ended up eating part of the buttered sub roll that didn’t have any of my bf’s chicken cheesesteak on it and used that to soak up some of the yummy Alfredo and fill up a little more. His cheesesteak needed half of the roll, it wasn’t full of meat at all. Overall, food was delish, had great service, seated quickly, games on for bf, band playing for me. Tons of stuff to do outside. Literally would only change the portions of offer bread or a soup/salad as a side perhaps with the pasta? The chicken cheesesteak definitely needed more meat though. Not even half full on roll. Nice sized menu and great service!
