The wings were amazing and the service was great! Everyone was very friendly and it had a small town vibe of everyone knowing each other. Their take on huevos rancheros wasn’t why I expected but were yummy in their own way.

Plenty of parking and seating around 2:30-3pm. Menus at the tables and received immediate attention. Food was excellent. Crispy tots, juicy burgers. Fries and battered fish was crispy and delicious. Coleslaw wasn’t too sweet.

I haven’t been here for a few years but it’s still good. We got breakfast and Bloody Mary’s. I got a Denver Omlett, forgot to take a pic, and thought it was pretty good. The staff was friendly, and attentive. I definitely will be coming back.

Service is slowing down considerably since the sale of the restaurant. It took 20 minutes for a server to come to our table. Still good atmosphere, but I’m getting the feeling that something is going on since a lot of the original servers who knew us by name are no longer there? We ordered food but after one hour and 15 minutes we walked out having never received our food. We went to another restaurant and immediately got a server who checked on us frequently. C’mon guys……

I’ve been to the Half Penny at least a dozen times, usually very satisfied. On 10-25-25, had an unpleasant experience. Brought our out of town friends in, after telling them how good it is. Things that went wrong: -No greeting when entering or sitting down. -The server took his time getting over. Once there he displayed an “I don’t wanna wait on these customers” attitude, which lasted through our visit. -Our 4 orders took much longer than they should, as there were only a few other parties being served. The food itself was good, when it finally arrived. I was embarrassed because the general vibe caused us to feel unwelcome, after selecting this place from ALL the places available take our guests to. One of our friends felt that too, (is the service usually good?”, she asked, indicating she absolutely felt the delay) so I know it wasn’t only me. I had no refills on my coffee offered at all. I was cold and really wanted the coffee.

Excellent food and wait staff. The drinks are tasty and not watered-down, and the atmosphere is great. The bands range from ok to excellent, and they have NFL Sunday Ticket. Somehow, we find ourselves there most every weekend (sometimes twice), and I think I might need a support group for this.

I usually like this place… This last time was something different. We had some family sitting next to us getting hammered with an infant at the table… Knocking over drinks and all, I felt like I was in the conversation with how loud they were. Service was extremely slow and once the orders were being placed, we felt rushed and the server started to walk away before taking the last person’s order. I keep thinking the food will be better each time, not to say it is bad, just not impressive. Didn’t this place have a pool table, or am I confusing it with somewhere else?

Went as an impromptu dinner the pulled pork sandwich was pretty good but didn’t appreciate being rushed out when others around us were still enjoying their meal. Also found hair in Tatar tots and the server ignored me and just gave my husband attention never asking me if I wanted another drink or something but did to my partner. Foods fine but geez tactics like that will not get my business again
