What a great experience! We heard about this place from Brian Kramp on Fox 6 NEWS. It definitely did not disappoint. We opted for the corned beef egg rolls, and the nachos! My granddaughter ordered the kids grilled cheese meal, with a salad instead of fries. For dessert we shared the extra large, in house made chocolate cake. Since it was the day before July 4th we took home their specialty slice of cake with real creme frosting and it was excellent!!! Their team they have there knows how to take care of their customers! We will be back and refer others!!

First time having cheese curds like this and they were great. I ordered the Caribbean salad and added shrimp. Others ordered burgers. We left with a piece of banana bread cheesecake. The cheesecake part was perfect! Everyone was happy with their food and our service. Looking forward to trying more of the menu, it was a tough decision with so many good options.

I have been to the Hale House several time before. It’s a converted home that was previously a chinese restaurant, but completed remodeled after that. It’s a small place with seating inside at the bar, or in the dining area. It has a small outside patio, along Forest Home Avenue. Inside there are TVs and video poker games next to the bar (not a fan of those, but they are a “sports” bar). We come here for the food, and not the ambiance.
We stopped on a Saturday night for a late dinner. Got a table right away, and the server got us settled in with drinks and waters. The Blackberry Smash was fresh and flavorful, the Riverwest Stein in on tap! We ordered the Cheese Curds to start with. These curds are unique and one of our favorites. It’s simply queso cheese that has been deep fried. No batter or breading, just the cheese. We split the Whiskey Burger. They made it perfectly to order, medium rare. It was moist and flavorful. We got the side of Sweet Potato Fries, they were just okay. Either overcooked or reheated, which was a disappointment.
The service throughout the evening was exceptional. Always friendly, helpful and attentive. Just the right amount of attention, updating us on our order, checking our first bites, and any extra drinks. Thanks Lauren.

Hidden gym of Hales Corners. I hate how much I love this place! My goal for the past year has been to try everything on the menu. But every time I visit they have a new amazing special that is only available for a week, then it’s gone forever, so i have to try it! The food is always fresh, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The crabcake BLT and the Garden burger are just two menu items I tried that are unlike anything you can get anywhere in the area. Seriously, try the food here and you’ll be hooked. The only problem with this place is the major FOMO you’ll get if you miss a weekly special.

Came here for a quick lunch and a drink. The staff were friendly enough and service was very quick and easy! We ordered off their cocktail menu, the Tijuana Mule was a 10/10 and very refreshing! But the Nectarine Sangria was definitely a miss and tasted very syrupy. For food we ordered the Cajun cheese curd burger with homemade chips and their grilled chicken brie sandwich with a side salad. The burger and chips were very good! Not very “Cajun”, but still tasty and fresh for a burger. The grilled chicken sandwich was also a 10/10, and we would definitely order that again. It was originally supposed to come with a honey aioli but they allowed me to switch it out for their garlic aioli instead which was awesome! Definitely recommend Hale House, can’t wait to try dining outside on their patio once it’s a bit warmer outside!

I recently dined at The Hale House, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was simply outstanding. The BLTTA wrap, with its perfect blend of bacon, lettuce, tomato, turkey, and avocado, was fresh, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The South by Southwest burger was another highlight—packed with smoky and spicy flavors that made every bite a delight.
The atmosphere at The Hale House is warm and welcoming, creating the ideal setting for a relaxed yet refined dining experience. Despite being busy, which is always a good sign, the service was top-notch. Grace, our server, was attentive, friendly, and ensured that everything was perfect throughout our meal.
We finished our meal with a slice of carrot cake, and it was the perfect ending—moist, rich, and perfectly sweetened. The Hale House is clearly popular for a reason, and I can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this gem!

I’ve been here multiple times. Recently went for a fish fry which I ordered fish mongler. Fantastic. Drink (pineapple ginger something) Fantastic. Beer suggestion (fantastic).
I love the outdoor area is no smoking it makes it very family friendly. They could look to add a TV under the rafters and some greenery but it’s great especially being right off that busy a$$ road.
Ordered 2 adult dinners, 1 kid dinner. 2 mixed drinks, 2 beers and a chunk of carrot cake for desert (Fantastic.) After Tip $110

Such a great place! The service was impeccable and the food was amazing!! I recommend the Rueben for anyone who is true fan of corned beef, this Rueben is for sure Devine!!! My hubby had the Old Bay Shrimp wrap with sweet potato fries and he said it was sooo good with the perfect amount of heat. Our daughter ate all of her chicken tenders and the fries are so delicious! We will definitely be back!!!

Typical sports bar with mediocre fish fry. I have tried countless other fish fries in my life and this one felt like a bit of a letdown. We went midafternoon and it was packed, so clearly plenty of people like it. It took a while to order and get our food. Our waiter was very nice but almost a bit too present. The prices were typical, but I still feel they were slightly overpriced given the quality we ended up with. I tried a fish fry which had three types of fish. The cod was pretty good, but the other two were very fishy and I just wasn’t impressed. The fries and bread were just kind of basic. The coleslaw was too liquid-y. While my meal was okay, some of our group had disappointing meals. One person got baked cod, which came cold. It was also very loud, which shouldn’t be any surprise in a sports bar I suppose.

The food was okay, but very salty. Especially the French onion soup. The steak and bacon wedge salad – the beef didn’t taste fresh and tasted and overcooked. Besides this one, it’s usually a good experience.
