This place must have changed ownership. This franchise should be taken away from them. They now serve old leftover chicken that is inedible. Can’t even be chewed. Four times in a row now. Will not risk ordering from this place again.

Stopped in recently for an early dinner, one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite to eat in the area. As always, food was absolutely delicious! Despite the number of customers coming in and out, the staff made sure to keep the place clean and in order. Each time I have dined in at this location, the Manager has always come over to check if everything was going well with my experience there and this time was no exception. I truly appreciated the wonderful food, clean restaurant space, and warm reception by the staff. Highly recommend coming here for some quality food and service!

I thought I check this place a day after the snowstorm around 6:30PM. I was told they’d close the place soon because it was a very slow day. I ordered for take-out, now, even after asking repeatedly whether the food is warm, I got a cold sandwich. It tasted horrible.

Absolutely unacceptable. The platter was shockingly small, with one entire side left empty. The meat was burnt, rock-hard, and tasted days old—I even had to remove inedible chunks of chicken. Now my stomach hurts after eating it. This is not just disappointing, it’s unsafe. I demand a full refund for this meal.

I have been a frequent customer at this Halal Guys location, and it used to be very generous with portion sizes and had good food quality. However, during my visit today, I was quite disappointed. I ordered the regular platter with chicken, but the lady working there added a very small amount of chicken, which tasted like leftovers from the day before. When I asked if I could get a bit more chicken, she told me it would be an additional $2.70 for extra chicken. I was only asking for a bit more, not extra.
The service and food quality have really gone downhill. If I am spending almost $15, I expect the quality and portions to be good. I recommend the Halal Guys location in Alexandria for those who truly appreciate the quality that Halal Guys is known for.

I have always loved halal guys and always a big fan! Always got it for my family and friends. However my last and recent visit left me very disappointed. They were busy and people were coming in which is good for any business. The staffs are very friendly and nice. But it wasn’t their service, it was their food that didn’t taste good. I always get the bowl and the chicken had no flavor. It really lacked seasoning. But my main concern was the taste. It didn’t taste the same. The taste that we always get from halal guys, that was missing. The beef also lacked flavor and I find it smelly. That’s why I even stopped getting beef from there. The food definitely didn’t taste fresh for sure. I was so hungry at 9:00pm and was looking for a good bowl of halal guys but ultimately were left disappointed. I hope they really improve and keep up their name which they have earned. I think my craving for halal guys has now come to a pause.
