Halal cart is the best you can get: affordable, quality and tasty. I like spices so I prefer his cart because the food and sauces are the most flavorful imo. Also fast service.

One of my favorite eats in the Amherst area. The white and red sauce add a nice spice and flavor to the meats, and the meats are juicy and tender on the inside. I always get the combo over rice, and it comes with good portions of meat.
He primarily takes cash only, and there may be a line but you can also call ahead. Prices are affordable and cheap for the portion size. There is only bench seating nearby for the church, and it may get a bit cold waiting here in the winter, but it’s worth it.

Chicken is better than gyro; it’s delicious, street Middle Eastern-like, and fairly priced. However, I was unsure how the meat could remain healthy in hot weather without a refrigerator.

A great New York style Halal food cart in Amherst. Prices are reasonable and portions are plentiful. Definitely recommend getting the white sauce to add more flavor and some red sauce for spice. Love the idea of broccoli in the meals. Would recommend and will be going back!

I lived in Amherst for college for 4 years and now that I’m done I think about this place in my dreams. It’s the best halal food I’ve ever had. I’ve been trying to find something even close to as good in my town and haven’t come close. Planning a trip back to Amherst purely to get this food again

Every time I got a chance to be in Amherst I make sure I stop by and grab me a chicken over rice with extra white sauce. Soo delicious. I am not going to lie it is not as good as New York Halal food carts but it is still very good. The price is 6 dollars for a full foil dish of grilled chicken broccoli and onion with a layer of lettuce and white sauce. The food halal cart also offers other choices but not everything That’s advertised on the cart.

I was sleeping on this spot for a while, but I went here back in December and the food was proper. Just legit meat and rice with white and hot sauce just like any great halal cart would, insane prices and a huge amount of tasty food. Genuinely cannot go wrong, give bro your business, it’s great.

I actually think Sayyed’s halal cart in Amherst is better than NYC halal carts! For $8 or so you get a portion so large, with so much lamb, chicken, or falafel, that you can eat in two meals.
Street food is one big thing the American food scene is generally missing, and also what many international students crave! So let’s support local food trucks! Food trucks are so awesome!! (I’m so glad he upgraded the truck a couple years ago so he didn’t have to stand outside when it’s too cold or too hot.)
