Fries were ok, but they were all less than 2 inches long.
The employee charged me $40 but did not know how to complete the transaction. She told me to swipe my card again (2nd time). I told her my debit card already was charged $40. She claimed that didn’t “go through” and transaction was canceled. I swiped my card again for $40. Obviously, this lady was not trained how to do this. A manager came over and issued two $20 gift cards making each gift card a separate transaction. I told the manager that my card had been swiped twice and she said it’s been canceled. She couldn’t provide a receipt. I left because I had to get back to work. When I checked my account, sure enough, I had been charged twice $40. So I lost $80 due to their incompetence. Their attitude was “so what, not our problem, we can’t do anything about it.”
P.S.: I like their burgers, but I will never go to a Habit Burger Grill restaurant. I have already told my friends and coworkers never to go there.
Even worse, I recently got sick after eating one of their salads. That alone is enough to ensure I won’t be returning. No customer should be ignored when picking up an order, and no one should get sick from a salad. Management needs to seriously address both their customer service and food safety.
Normally I’m not a stickler for long wait times but 1: After submitting my order the receipt said it would be done in 10 minutes, not 30 and 2: I’m on my 30 minute lunch break here, and I’m working under the assumption that the estimated time on the receipt is accurate. I don’t even have time to eat anymore and I would’ve picked somewhere else to eat had I known how long it would take.
As far as atmosphere, I don’t have huge expectations for a burger chain restaurant but there’s just nothing in there to help supplement the long wait. No muted TV playing a sports game or anything, just a baffling music station that’s playing alternative rock music one moment and country western music the next.
They have optimized for delivery, carryout, and cashless transactions and cut staff responsible for counter service to the point where it’s significantly degraded the in-restaurant service, particularly for people paying cash.
It took a long time to get someone to the register.
They didn’t give me all my change.
Since they are doing a lot of bagged orders, it didn’t matter if thing were really hot when served, so with that flow, my order was pretty tepid.
BBQ sauce used to be easier to access.
It was also served in a bag even though I specified for-here.
So, yeah, it used to be a nice place to go and sit-down for some really fresh food, but now it feels like it’s it’s just another feeder for delivery services and others who don’t have time to go someplace and eat a thing there.
Don’t get me wrong, it seems to be working for them as a business since they were certainly busy bagging to-go orders, but it’s not a great in-person experience.
