Really enjoyed the Chicken & Sausage Gumbo, it came out piping hot with the perfect kick! The Cajun dry-rub wings were absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and super crispy. We also tried the debris fries, which were really tasty!
Overall, such a great experience. The food was delicious across the board, the staff was friendly, and you can tell they truly work as a team, which is so refreshing to see. Really cool spot, and I can’t wait to go back

Gumbo Bros in the Gulch is a must-try. A relaxed, no-nonsense sit-down spot with great vibes. The miso Caesar salad with blackened chicken is an absolute bomb, the Caesar + miso combo is unexpectedly unique and insanely good. The dry-rub wings were excellent, and the étouffée bowl was pure comfort food. Service was exceptional. Oh, last but not least, the bourbon bread pudding was light, not overly sweet, and absolutely delicious. An absolute must for a quick, satisfying visit in downtown Nashville.

Gumbo Bros absolutely delivered. The service was top notch and the Cajun flavors were spot on — bold, rich, and authentic.
I had the sausage gumbo along with the catfish Pontchartrain, and both were fantastic. Huge flavor profiles, comforting, and cooked perfectly. To top it off, the Red Lasso Amber on seasonal tap paired perfectly with the meal.
If you’re craving real Cajun comfort food with great service, Gumbo Bros is definitely worth the stop.

If you haven’t checked this place out, I highly recommend it! Everything was absolutely amazing. We came in for New Years brunch. No wait, attentive service, relaxed atmosphere with good music. Between my group and I, we tried 4 things off the brunch menu. The shrimp and grits were the best I’ve had. So much flavor. The alligator Benny was cooked to perfection. The bananas foster French toast was delicious. The hot honey chicken biscuit had the freshest biscuit with flavorful chicken. The taste of everything was on point!

I am a nurse nearby and order Togo and/or delivery often. Being from the Carolinas, I am picky about seafood and it’s been impossible to find good seafood much less gumbo around here! This place has the ABSOLUTE BEST GUMBO AND CATFISH!!!! I always order enough gumbo to eat before starting my long 13 hour night shift, for my break, and for breakfast the next morning. So glad I found this place a few weeks ago. Even when I order Uber eats, my food is presented fresh!

You know it’s great food when you’re not hungry but can’t keep your hands and mouth off the food! I visited this place because my foodie experience in NOLA wasn’t satisfied and saw some good reviews of this place. So I ordered (a take out) what I didn’t get the chance to order in NOLA: boudin, crawfish etouffe, and beignet. And all of them were so good!! I only wanted to have a small bite of each but then I ended up finishing more than half of each. Will have the rest for breakfast!

Chicken and sausage gumbo, catfish pontchartrain, Cajun Cobb salad, bread pudding. All very very good but the gumbo and catfish are pretty special.
Quick and friendly service!

Ordered the bayou flight and added nanny’s seafood gumbo based on the recommendation or our server Melanie. The alligator bites were also very good with the Nashville hot on the side. I could eat this everyday of the week. Our server Melanie was fantastic!

I’ve been twice and both times equally great! Coming from LA. its hard to find a decent gumbo place around here but look no further. Gumbo, Poboy, red beans, and handmade fried okra are all on point. I would also recommend a hurricane or Abita.
