A great place, with impeccable service and atmosphere.
We went all out, so it was a bit more expensive than usual, but we were happy overall.
I normally tell a good Indian restaurant by the lamb, so I had a lamb dhansak. It could have been softer, and the fat cut off, but the dhansak itself was tasty. That was the only ok part. Everything else was lovely. The chicken tikka starter was juicy, chicken madras was lovely, and the onion and tamarind chutney (according to who I went with) was out of this world!

Ordered a takeaway from just eat. Took 2.1/2 hours to arrive. Chicken tikka was dry and flavourless. Lamb vindaloo tasted mainly of coconut, no spices and as mild as a korma. Tarka Dahl was nothing more than a watery onion solution, it went straight in the bin after fearfully trying a small spoonful. Arrived after booking at 8 30pm got starters then had to wait upto one hour for our mains by then the people who with booked with on another table had finished dessert, finally paid at 11pm. Starters were fine the the main meal was mediocre and Luke warm. Got the feeling we had to wait for dishwasher to finish

What a great restaurant. We were on holiday at Romney Meadows and fancied a curry and the nearest Indian restaurant is Guljar Tandoori, so that’s where we headed, we’re so glad we did.
Excellent food.
Attentive service.
Friendly staff.
Clean and very pleasant room.
Very accommodating if you have young children with you.
Definitely a place to eat in if you’re visiting the New Romney, Lydd, Dungeness area.
Their paneer is excellent as is their Tandoori king prawn massala.
I don’t usually post photos of myself but today is the exception as our hosts were so good.

Have had delivery from here many times. Amazing at times. The last few have been super hit and miss. Tonight’s special moments included inedible lamb chop, spicy madras with no flavour and tough as old boot lamb gosht. Just wish they took more care.

My wife and i absolutely love eating here. The staff always treat us as if we are members of their own family. The 5 course meal is incredible value and the food portions are amazing. This is one of the best local indians and we will continue to come here for years to come!!

We ordered two chicken biryanis, and we were both incredibly impressed! The flavors were rich, the chicken was tender, and the rice was just perfect. Truly an amazing meal that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Lovely little Indian, prices are very competitive, 5 course meal for 12.95 set menu, or 14.95 for your choosing, food was lovely, staff couldn’t do enough for you. It’s a little gem.
