The first time I came to the Guardian, I actually had a hard time keeping my tears in check. It was the first time id ever been to a totally GF food place (outside of my house) in a decade. It was such an unexpected relief to walk in somewhere and have the option of ordering literally anything off the menu, not worrying about cross- contamination or if the staff really understood what GF meant. I dont think people without autoimmune disease, food allergies or intolerance really understand the mental gymnastics we go through every time we go out to eat, not knowing if we will lose the next several hours or even a day to symptoms that might arise because we ate food we didnt make ourseleves. And to top if off, these baked goods are delicious! Thank you for providing a safe place, that makes me feel like a normal human, and where I can enjoy delicious treats!

The Guardian Bake Shop is the BEST!!! The people there are genuinely some of the nicest and most down to earth folks I have ever met. They are super dedicated to their craft and committed to excellence in delivering some of the finest hand baked goods I have ever had. You can really tell that they put a lot of passion and love into their menu items and have been going there for about a year now. Needless to say, I look forward to and anticipate many more delicious, exquisite, and timeless experiences whenever I go back, hungry for more. I am so thankful from the bottom of my heart for having found such a gem of a bakery that caters to my dietary needs being gluten and dairy free.

I love this place sooo much!! I am gluten free and have celiac disease and this place has the BEST cupcakes, cakes, doughnuts, scones, bread, etc. yes you can buy a delicious loaf of plain bread here. The staff are so friendly and genuinely caring. They listened to my story about how i was diagnosed with celiacs at a very young age. My husband is not gluten free and he says he loves this place too. He always wants me to get treats here every weekend. It is gluten free but none of the treats are bad and they actually taste like Heaven. It gives the bakery a lot of credit bevause it is so much harder to make gluten free actually good. But they make it better than good, every bite is a taste from heaven like I said. They switch up their menu and have new things occasionally. They have free samples. They are reasonably priced. Their treats are super moist and again like heaven. Normally gluten free stuff is dry and not moist. Even if I was not gluten free I would still buy treats here bevause they are amazing.

What a delight! Idaho Falls has been missing a gluten free bakery until now, and The Guardian is a stellar start. The owner is sweet and she crafts her recipes carefully. The flavors and textures are well-balanced. I feel safe knowing there isn’t cross contamination in the bakery. And even considering the donuts I’ve had before with gluten, she makes the best blueberry donuts I’ve ever tasted.
Update: they also have some flexibility about making special orders. My daughter had been talking about orange donuts for months, and they were able to make the cutest orange donuts for her birthday!

We happened to be in the area and are always looking for gluten-free options for our children with celiac. We stumbled across The Guardian and found these delicious treats! Everything was amazing!!! My daughter loved the Oreo cheesecake and the lemon bar was delicious. No complaints at all and we’d highly recommend!
