Please do NOT eat at Momo’s Mexican Restaurant if you expect basic responsibility from management.

As my 17-year-old daughter entered through the back patio door, a metal floor grate next to the entrance collapsed and her leg fell through into sewage up to her thigh. This was shocking and unacceptable, and completely ruined our visit to Tucson on 12/27/25. Fortunately, she was not seriously hurt.

What made this experience truly awful was management’s response, or lack of one. The manager and owner refused to come to the restaurant, speak with us, and provide any contact information. Instead, we were told secondhand that the manager reviewed video footage and falsely accused my daughter of “jumping on the grate.” We were denied access to the alleged footage and left on our own to deal with the situation.

No apology. No accountability. No effort to make things right. We had to purchase replacement clothing ourselves due to contamination.

The safety issue alone is concerning, but the complete absence of ownership or responsibility is why this restaurant deserves this review.

Went here on a Thursday night and wasn’t that busy. Service was quick and we got our food within 5 minutes. All around the food was great. The tacos are very yummy and their chips and salsa are delicious. We also got a churro which was probably the best churro I’ve ever had. Deals on drinks certain nights of the week to make it worth it. Overall very nice Mexican restaurant in Tucson. High marks all around

TACO TUESDAY! Incredible prices and good flavor! Pretty loud & rowdy so we definitely took our food to go, but the self serve chips while we waited was pretty awesome. Menu does not denote allergies but it’s honestly pretty navigable if you know your common foods. For a gluten friendly option I went with the chicken nachos I did not ask if the chips are cross contaminated but so far I feel pretty okay.
Ate too fast to get a pretty picture!

Update: the chips from our first visit did eventually make me VERY acidic. Upon our return, I got the grilled shrimp bowl, with zero issues! Delicious!

Exceptional customer service, especially given that I was part of a huge party! Delicious food, perfectly balanced margaritas, and a sweet space with plenty of TVs for sports! The location is prime too, just far enough from downtown to miss huge crowds, but super close to the stadium if you need a cool spot for some good eats before a game. Thank you guys! Keep up the great work!

Ended up here on a u of a game night, so it was super super crowded… ordered the Sonoran hotdog and they were fantastic, also got a Personal sized picture of margaritas which is definitely enough to share with somebody at a good price. They also give you complementary chips and salsa and the salsa was good.. fun atmosphere before the game.

I had the Carne asada fries and not impressed. I also had rolled shredded beef taguitos and they were nothing special. Overall I can’t say this place was good or bad. They have a beautiful wraparound bar and I would imagine it would be a great place to drink.

Great joint. Food was excellent – we had tacos, burritos, rice, mini margarita pitchers, regular margarita. No complaints. The place itself is a bit of a dive – not bad, just can’t give it 5 stars for atmosphere as a result. Salsa is serve yourself. Entire place is serve yourself i suppose – you order at the front counter. Anyhow, we really enjoyed the food and will be back.

This is a solid “college scene” place for inexpensive good/basic food in a very casual setting. Probably better for college students vs older people but it’s pretty convenient for “game day” food as it’s close to the football stadium! The street tacos are an easy and low priced option.

The only reason I gave one less star for service is because of how long we had to wait to get our order. The person taking our order was actually very nice otherwise. And the food was delicious . I tried four different meats via tacos – chicken, asada, birria, and pastor. My favorite was the pastor because of the flavor and texture. The asada was good and birria also great.
I loved their salsa bar and the inside dining area had a cute setup. My favorite physical aspect of the restaurant however is the mural outside.
Last but not least, they offer a great variety of drinks. Delicious Horchata and the o.g. Mexican sodas were the cherry on top.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a yummy casual Mexican fast food spot in the area
