We are a downtown local bar with that small pub feel that has been in business since 2006. We offer 16 beers on tap that rotate regularly along with bottled beers and seltzers. We have 70 flavors of wings from dry rubs, to the hottest of hot and a true 10oz burger that you have to see to believe. We also offer unique weekly specials that change every Thursday that aren’t part of our regular daily menu. If you haven’t come in yet to check us out, what are you waiting for. I’d rather go to the Groggy Frogg than J. Timothy’s for wings…and I hope you’ll agree too. Adis was our server and she was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was cozy and comfy, alongside the bar. The wings were absolutely *inset chef kiss here*! Crispy, meat off the bone, and juicy! When I think of chicken wings, I think of these types of wings. Try them. Every flavor. They even have happy hour. Thank you to the Groggy Frogg for a great meal! We will be coming back for more wings and drinks

Great dive bar + wing spot. Neighborhood bar vibe. The wings were above average from what you’d find at most places, many flavors to choose from. The bartender/server were very nice and crushing it back there “mention your name next time to new faces, you’re a good one!” Didn’t have a popular style of beer on tap or available at the time we went, but is what it is. Great CT bar type spot with TVs, good wings, conversation.

I went because I’ve been hearing a lot about there wings… and I was not disappointed! They had the largest selection of sauces I’ve seen in a long time. They had amazing blue cheese. My friends got the boneless chicken and even that looked good compared to the Tyson tenders other places will try to give you. Ash was serving our food and she did a great job of recommending what sauces I should try while being very friendly! Will go again!

I stumbled upon this place and when I seen that they were awarded best wings in town for 5 years straight thats what won me over because I love wings. Me entering the place was really welcoming. The food is amazing, the bartender is spectacular and friendly she made me a drink called pink princess and it was great. Overall experience was very good, its now my regular go to place.

I have visited this local favorite on numerous occasions with coworkers and friends. The atmosphere is small but inviting. I wish there was more space inside, though there is a nice little outdoor area as well. The wings are great – so many flavors! I’m normally a person of habit but I always try a new wing flavor during each visit. Definitely some of the best wing flavors in CT. Their tator tots were nice and crispy and mozzarella sticks are always tasty. Not to mention the great drink selection, which changes often.

Been going to the groggy frog – several times…Everyone has been friendly, for the most part, Except for the owner Nancy…The few times, [There Shouldn’t have been Any, especially for a business owner- who’s mind should be on her Paying customers- for they- keep you & your business thriving] Other than her acts of mistreatment & plain-out awful looks of haughtiness, snobbishness and total disgust, along with her horrible actions…. Heck- this woman Never even Smiled at me or glanced my way, as if you’re Ignoring someone, which it was plain to see..
We Are all adults – here..Right?? Scenario: If Anyone told you about what a person said concerning you – without knowing All the facts….The question is to anyone : Wouldn’t you-go up to that person and ask-to talk them in-private and seek out the TRUTH ? ~Instead of puttung your faith on & in Other people’s misinterpretations and misunderstandings??? YES, you’re darn tootin – you Would.. WithOut doing so She & the staff (not All mind you) already decided how they were going to treat ME~ with such Immaturity & Bellittlement and even Overcharging me which was During-Happy Hour.. The bartender demanded payment on the spot- which was out of the ordinary because they usually start a tab..from the money left over- she- the bartender-Wendy-took it upon herself to Keep the change and give herself a Tip WithOut- giving me back the change or Even asking if she could Keep the change… Disgraceful & Very disappointing and kinda rude, all of it Really and No need for… What bothers me is – if they treated me like this, they’re Positively Doing this & have done this to others…
All I know is – I’d never go back into an establishment where I see, witnessed and now experienced- so much favortism and soap-opera melodrama from adult-women… Am I going to a bar or Drama class Ladies, or worse – Am I back in school ??

As far as getting beverages- the service Lacks so much.. I’ve received & experienced this first-hand multiple times… This gentleman who’s a regular said, “I’ve been waiting here 10 minutes to get a drink, I’m going Next Door !”.. Absolutely shameful – no one should wait over 5minutes – that- should be a Bar-Rule…But Some reguler’s get their beverage alot faster Depending On Who you Are…THERE’S the favoritism they have & It Does show…I was “sitting at the bar” – next to New friends who Are reguler’s and I could Not get a drink to save my life even with 2 bartenders on hand, the regular said,” I got you” – and I got my drink–shortly after, is THAT What people have to Do to get a beverage at the groggy frog ?? You Gotta be kidding me ?? Is that what it takes ???
I’ve got news- All money- is the same !! And~ All should be treated the same- for that’s what your establishment preaches Yes?? but – No ….
Also I can’t fathom the fact that this Bar uses ~ those tiny teeny little church cummunule cups as a Shot glass and has the gall to Actually charge $5.00 dollars each for them!! Unbelievable ?? Folks THIS – IS how the groggy frog Treats their customers… News flash● dollar tree carries Actual plastic SHOT CUPS 24-count for $1.25+tax, get them – THEN you can CHARGE 5 dollars a pop ●… Please rethink this – practice- Here’s another Bar-Rule.. YOU’RE not only overcharging your Customers but NOT giving them or even your favorite customers what they MORE than paid for , for this NON Shot – Shot … Shame on you..

This place was all I expected AND more!! Shout out to Wendi (with an I) and Dee! You guys rock almost as much as the wings. Between the three of us we tried 8 different flavors!! Oh my…..big and juicy. All the flavors we tried were great. And the Bloody Maria’s are great in their own rite. I will be back sooner rather than later ❤️

0 stars for me Online it says they close at 1am. The older blond curly haired bartender was EXTREMELY rude and proceeded to yell at us to get us to leave at 12:30 and turned on the lights and laughed about it at 12:00. I get it people want to go home but your job is customer service. To sell us drinks at 12:20 then yell at people to leave at 12:30 when you cannot take the drinks you just paid for is absurd. Maybe update your google and say you close at 12:30 then. Atrocious service and an awful bartender who also ignored everyone and was extraordinarily rude. I would not recommend – complete understatement.

This was a great burger experience. It is a bar. A very loud bar. But the food is top notch. I started with the spicy balls. Cut meatballs on spicy red chili sauce. They were over the top great. I had the heart buster burger and it was a large Patty with all kinds of great toppings. Very tasty and very nicely done. The hand cut fries were great and a side of Michigan sauce sealed the deal. Will worth the ride to try it out. On a scale of 1-10 this is an 8.9

Inside atmosphere of The Groggy Frogg is great. Unfortunately that’s where it stops. Service was very inattentive. Wings were over cooked shoe leather drowned in sauce. Cobb salad lettuce was warm and wilted. Chicken sandwich was ok. $50 for below average food and below average service. Can’t say would return here.
