The food itself was underwhelming. The chicken sandwich lacked flavor and felt incomplete. I ordered a burger that came with an odd sweet spread that did not work at all. My son did enjoy his Caesar salad, but the lobster roll was practically inedible. No one at the table could eat it and I contemplated sending it back through by this pointed I just wanted to hurry up and leave. The only highlight of the meal was the herb French fries, which were actually quite good.
The service did not improve as the meal went on. The waitress only returned to our table once (to bring my wife’s late meal) and after that, we waited an unnecessarily long time for our check. I am not sure that the check was correct or not but after over an hour and 15 minutes I was ready to leave.
The atmosphere was great though and I enjoyed the decor and vibe of the place, however, that was about it.
Overall, between the poor service, multiple mistakes, and disappointing food, this was not a positive dining experience. With so many excellent restaurants in Washington, D.C., I would recommend trying somewhere else.
The ambience was very nice relaxed and upscale without being too formal. The crowd was minimal, which made for a quiet dining experience. My server was polite.
The steak itself was good, though not necessarily memorable for the price point. That said, this seems like a great spot for drinks at the bar especially if you’re already walking around The Wharf and looking for a place to unwind.
Overall, I’d recommend this spot more for cocktails and atmosphere than for the food alone unless you’re really craving steak like I was.
For all the food you get it’s a great deal. I enjoyed sampling all the mini appetizers and thought it was a special dining experience.
We sat outside and loved the water view.
I Would like to add every person who worked here that we talked to (hostess, our server, etc) was extremely welcoming and professional and added to our time here.
As someone who uses google reviews often to decide where to eat, personally I think this restaurant should have higher reviews than the 4.1 they have now. It’s worth going to if you want to have a special meal. Thanks for making my birthday meal special ☺️
caramelized onion dip + homemade chips ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (I could eat a gallon of this!!)
clam chowder ⭐⭐⭐⭐
house salad ⭐⭐⭐⭐
shrimp linguini with pesto cream ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (the homemade pasta tastes like Nonna’s!!!)
sorbet + ice cream flight ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (the vanilla bean ice cream was my favorite)
Our server, Enrique, provided outstanding service with his warm personality and bright smile. He answered all our questions and really enjoyed a quiet, leisurely dinner on a Monday night.
The restaurant space is beautiful and welcoming, plus the waterfront is spectacular at sunset!!!
