The Greens restaurant is part of Copake Country Club, the stunning 160 acre golf course in Columbia County. Nestled in the foothills of the Berkshire and Catskill Mountains, The Greens and the country club were saved from a developer’s wrecking ball in 2005 by Jon Urban and his business partner, Ross Mauri. Together, the two have poured their passion and love for the game of golf into the property and subsequently into the classic American restaurant now known as The Greens.
Copake Country Club’s American eatery pairs local food with course & lake views from a scenic deck.

Can’t say enough about this place. Had two great lunches and a great dinner over the past few days and looking forward to the next time!

Beautiful setting (if you like expansive views) Warm fireplace. But most of all, the food was perfect. We had some very good craft cocktails, beet Burrata, wonderful pasta, and perfectly pan seared halibut special. I want to try the whole menu! And not for nothing, we really appreciate them being open on a Wednesday evening. That’s tough to come by these days. I’ve been meaning to go, and the Greens did NOT disappoint.

The atmosphere was great, especially since the bar and restaurant were re modeled.

Recently re-opened following renovations, the restaurant has some kinks to work out in both the front of the house and in the kitchen.

Beautiful view of the golf course from the deck overlooking 1st & 10th tees. Lunch menu has enough choices to satisfy everyone. I tried the grilled brie cheese with apple slices and was pleasantly surprised. Next time I’ll book a tee time.

First the golf course, nice course, beautiful views, but definitely challenging. The clubhouse restaurant is very nice and the food is good. They also have events like comedy shows etc. Great day!

Love the remodel. So calming and beautiful. Just had some snacks. Maybe skip the salad with fried artichoke hearts on it.

I had the Salmon a la plancha and the other dish is flat iron steak with au jus that was to die for.

Arrived at 5pm, the server was on time and friendly… I had the fish and chips my parents had the prime rib and a burrito… The wait wasn’t long and the fish and burrito was tasty, but the prime rib was overcooked. Also had fries and they were string fries when they should have been steak fries… The place is beautiful with a nice view of the golf course and lake… One more negative, if you require handicap access it is a steep ramp and long walk through a rocky driveway… Not bad food but needs better quality for the price

This restaurant is amazing! It’s warm, cozy, and the staff are so nice. We lucked out and came on a Monday night (off season it’s only open on Mondays and Thursday’s). The food here was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Servings sizes are big and the price is just right. Being from out of town I’m upset I can’t come here more often, however I will make it a point to come back here again.
