Went on Saturday (2/21/26) as group of 4 to try a new location and the experience was ok. The waitress was very good. The food opinions were mixed: the pork chop was generous portion and well seasoned; the hamburger was tasty but not hot; the Philly steak had generous portion of meat but it was not very flavorful such that I added ketchup to it; but most disappointing was that the pizza was overcooked to the point where the crust snapped like a cracker. The waitress did replace the pizza (boxed to go since it took so long to come out). I will give it another try if someone else chooses it.

I had really high hopes for this place but unfortunately the food was a bit disappointing. our server was excellent and personable, but the young man as the host was very cold to us and made us feel like our presence was a huge annoyance to him. he wouldn’t speak to us directly even after I said hello. he just grabbed two menus and started walking without saying anything like “follow me”. I think he hates working here.
we got the eggplant fries but they had soaked up so much oil that they tasted mushy and soggy. our server said they were hit or miss with customers. my partner and I ordered separate pizzas, hers with the gluten-free crust and mine with the regular crust. I ordered the Goat pizza, with white sauce, goat cheese, bacon, and green apples and my partner ordered the Trestle pizza with red sauce, mozzarella, and fresh basil. even though the GF crust was about 12-13 inches vs 16 inches for regular, I wish I had gotten the GF crust instead. the crust itself was okay, but the pizza came drenched in oil, and not just on top. the whole pizza sat in a pool of either olive or canola oil on the tray, making it nearly inedible. I only ate one slice. our server said another customer had recently made the same comment. I ordered a local Parkway beer on tap to drink, and it somehow tasted slightly worse than it usually does out of the can. our server was very nice and attentive, and the outdoor seating had a nice atmosphere, although the angled bench seats can be somewhat awkward. we took the rest of the goat pizza home and dried out the slices with napkins, making it taste somewhat better. still threw away more than half of it though, but we ate all of the GF pizza.
overall, I don’t think I would recommend visiting as the food was all misses for me and the host will make you feel unwelcome.

Eating an affordable lunch outside on a deck with friends, in this spring weather? YES please! I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, the homemade chips are always a hit. My friend ordered a pizza, and beware they are not single serving size, she had a lot to take home after and it was pretty good as well. Food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely (will be even better once the bridge has finished construction). Service is noticeably slower, so wouldn’t recommend if you’re in a hurry but was a perfect spot to catch up with friends and not feel rushed. The green goat is my go to for those perfect afternoons.

It was a little crowded I think they could use a couple more people making the eggs and waffles and maybe more waffle irons to speed the process up. The food was very good but I feel it could be more sanitary if they installed a buffet bar especially if they’re going to serve this kind of food. It gave me a hotel breakfast morning vibe but the food was much better then that of a hotel.

Ironically me and the server had the same birthday so that was very special for me. Try this restaurant if you’re in the SW Roanoke area.

Food was good, atmosphere was great, service was only ok. It might have been because we went on a Sunday when they have a breakfast buffet and we were ordering food. The hostess was nice and helpful but our server was hard to flag down. Never filled up my drink. Brought my check before we finished ordering. The cheesecake was AMAZING! We tried the banana pudding and s’more cheesecakes and both were top notch!

A nice place with some good food. Portions were big for the price we paid. We order a lot of different food items and drinks. The service was top notch. I wish the food was a bit less greasy though.
