We tried The Greek Place today. Good food and a nice addition to Maggie. We had Lamb Gyros with Greek salad and our daughter had the Greek Pot Pie.

Stopped by after getting a tattoo next door and was completely blown away. I ordered the roasted lamb gyro, and it was incredible—so flavorful and tender. The lamb was cut into perfect bite-sized pieces, almost like eating a great steak. The pickled onions added a unique touch that I really loved.

My server, Madison, was fantastic—super friendly and helpful. When I asked whether I should get the grilled or shredded lamb, she gave a great recommendation, and I’m so glad I went with it.

Everything was also plated really well, reflecting what I can tell to be the more authentic Greek food vibe and I’m here for it.

The Greek fries were delicious, and the spanakopita was amazing—crispy, perfectly layered, and packed with flavor. This place is seriously underrated for how good it is. I’ll definitely be bringing my wife back soon to try a more traditional dish!

I finished typing my review and I was surprised by a cheese cake so I had to add more. This cheese cake was amazing. Like just when I thought I was done it got better. Please come try.

I had a Gyro lamb Gyro. The meat was so tough. I couldn’t eat it a lousy atmosphere one poor waitress, serving all the tables. The tzatziki sauce was the worst I ever tasted in my life. I won’t be going back. Do you think Greek about it was the name?

First off the wait staff were awesome. One waitress tackled the entire restaurant efficiently, I was never left without a drink. She was friendly and fast. Food was good. It was all hot and fresh. The spanakopita was awesome. The tzatziki was delicious. The stuffed squash blossoms were a little overwhelmed by the batter and needed some sauce. The hot honey chicken is awesome. Though the potatoes on the side were not cooked through and were inedible as a result. My chicken souvlaki, the chicken was dry and unseasoned, I have never had it that way. The pita, salad, and fries it came with were great. If I had to order again it would be the spanikopita and hot honey chicken with fries. Lastly the baklava was delicious. The restaurant itself needs a little TLC, specifically the gnats. I know they are seasonal here but they are annoying.

My and my love stopped in and had lunch, appetizer and lamb gyros with Mediterranean fries, and it was perfect. Couldn’t leave without baklava to-go it was so good. Reasonable prices and great food. Definitely returning for sure.

We didn’t eat in. My husband picked up a steak gyro for me for my 41st birthday. He got a Greek salad with chicken. My steak smelled really bad and it was almost gray. His chicken was pink with red splotches. The cucumbers looked like they were cut last night. We had a few bites each until I reluctantly spoke up and decided to go with a Stouffer’s meatloaf and mashed potatoes frozen meal for my birthday dinner.

So I’ve ate a lot of gyros in my time. I’m 28. Probably thousands of different gyros. Made by me, restaurants, family, etc.

I had the best tasting gyro I’ve ever had at this restaurant. Absolutely exquisite, I will come here everytime I pass through Cherokee. Thank you!

Definitely not fresh. The lamb was 2 strips of microwaved meat in a dry gyro. The potatoes weren’t cooked all the way (hard in the center) and the atmosphere is not very nice. Super disappointed. 0/10

Sadly we couldn’t have been more disappointed. Lamb gyro pita bread stale with two thick strips of lamb. Lemon chips just ok. Lemon Chicken soup truly tasteless with lumps of overcooked chicken pieces that were hard. Greek salad okay but salad dressing not so good. No atmosphere and waitress looking bored. I felt sorry for her having to serve up the food. Of course we won’t go there again. We ate on a Saturday at lunch time. We were the only ones there.

This place is very good. Everything was great. The dressing on the salad was the best I ever had. The serving size is quite large. Don’t believe the negative reviews and eat here if you come to Maggie Valley.

Just left and wow!
my husband suggested we come and I decided to try something new. We sat outside with our 3 kids as the weather was nice. Our server was lovely and brought everything out really quickly! We ordered the Red wings, humus and got the kids some burgers and grilled cheese. I’ve never seen our daughter eat a burger that quick. For our main course we ordered the pot pie and the steak souvlaki platter and after devouring our food we both tried a skewer of lamb and steak. And then we ended our meal splitting a phenomenal baklava. Delicious, will definitely be back again!
