I think our server’s name was Jamie. It was a hockey weekend at Penn State and all restaurants in the area were full. Despite the business of the Greek, Jamie served us as if we were her only table. and she was like that with each table she went to. Good Greek food. Cute Atmosphere and Amazing service!

The Greek is one of my favorite restaurants in State College and made me realize I love Greek food.

The Kalamari Skaras is the best kalamari I’ve ever had; it even comes with pitas which are perfect for dipping in the leftover olive oil.

My favorite entrée is the Traditional Platter which offers a generous portion of delicious pork, fries, pitas, and tzatziki.

Every time I come here, I expect (and receive) incredible service and food at a great cost.

The food here is incredible. Just the right amount of seasoning/flavor. I had the tomato bisque and chicken kabob and both were delicious. The dessert is just as good. The servers were friendly and quick. The only thing I didn’t love is that the seating feels similar to a cafeteria because the tables are close together. Overall though I highly recommend.

the food was so tasty and the service just as excellent. I went with a couple of vegetarians too and they had plenty to choose from! but don’t worry, the meat-eater (me) was also well-fed.

A hidden gem in Happy Valley! The Greek is tucked behind Waffle House and opens up into a huge restaurant that is completely Greek inspired in decor and delicious food. We had a variety and nothing disappointed. My favorite was the dip sampler and the stuffed grape leaves but the gyro was also very good. Gabi was our waitress and she was very knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. They have a range of food options at all price points but you could easily have a very affordable nice night out. There is lots of seating and a very affordable drink menu (a bottle of wine for $14) to choose from. A great option for sit down dining or take out.

This was our first time at The Greek for dinner on the recommendation of a friend. We had a delicious dinner that started with a glass of the chardonnay from University Wine Company and the grilled calamari and three dip appetizer. The three dips were all good and the calamari in the garlicky butter marinade was really good. We both had the lamb kabobs for dinner with veggies over orzo. The lamb was prepared beautifully at medium rare like we asked for. For dessert we had the chocolate cake which was delicious but a bit to much after so much good food so we took most of it home. The staff was friendly and we had a great first visit. We will be back for sure.

Cute greek-styled interior, amazing food. The time was about 45 minutes from ordering to getting our food as some jabroney placed like 10 online orders right as we arrived, but the wait was genuinely worth it. I was having a come to Jesus moment as I bit into the gyro.

Ask for their garlic sauce, my girlfriend asked and it complimented the meat wonderfully.

Our waitress was also hilarious and very attentive and accomodated all of our weird requests, including bringing us some salt packets for later (I needed to gargle salt water for some mouth sores) and she didn’t hesitate to make us feel comfortable and valued. Her name sounded like it started with “ice” but I didn’t remember the whole of it. Absolute diamond of an employee.

One of the employees was bussing tables I think (a younger guy) and commented on me playing Pokemon Go on my phone and started chatting with me about it, we were laughing and cracking jokes and the vibe was overall incredibly positive and uplifting. I definitely plan on coming here again!

This was our first time trying The Greek and we will definitely be back! We were greeted by friendly staff and only had a 10 minute wait. It was a very busy day. The appetizers were delicious! Our gyros and gyro platters were very good. The server was attentive and an overall great experience.

We had the three dip platter (all but fava), it was delicious and the pita bread was so fresh. One friend tried the meatballs and said they were good. We each had a gyro: two of us had the traditional which happened to be pork (not expected), one had chicken, and the other had beef-lamb. I think the pork in the traditional didn’t live up to my expectations, it was tasty but the meat itself was a bit dry so next time I go I’ll get the beef-lamb. Everyone else liked their selections and we enjoyed the fries. The fries come on the gyro and they are more than enough, I placed mine of the side to eat separately. We had wine, the restaurant is byob but we purchased a bottle. The wine is sourced by The University Wine Company, you do have to purchase it separately from your dinner bill. The customer service was great, Eryn did a good job checking in on us and also just good interpersonal skills. We will all be back for another visit soon.
