Had an amazing experience at this Greek spot! The GM, Abdullah, set the tone the moment we walked in — welcoming, positive, and clearly passionate about creating a great guest experience. The food was incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and came out fast without ever feeling rushed. Everything we ordered was spot-on. This is officially our go-to for Greek food in the Detroit area. Stopped by the Great Greek. Too close to closing time which was too bad on my part. They still took my order for a Gyros sandwich was good. I thought it was short a little bit of Gyros meat. Will come back and try something else next time around.

This place used to be great. I enjoyed picking up a carryout from there a couple times a week. I once gave them a 5 star review. However, over the last 6 months, it seems like the people who used to run it so well are no longer there. It’s a bunch of unsupervised kids now. My last four orders from there have been 10-15 minutes past when they told me to pick it up. It was the middle of the day and there was one person in the whole place. While I’m sitting there the staff is totally aloof they do not care. I was told it was because I asked for the chicken well done. Standing around chatting with each other, it almost seemed intentional. They didn’t offer to compensate me with anything. Today was my last visit.

It’s always a pleasure dining at The Great Greek. The food is always fresh, seasoned well, and the portions are perfect. The restaurant is always super clean, and the staff is always pleasant, helpful, and friendly. They also offer online ordering, as well as self-ordering stations inside. This is the second time I have had a meal at the Great Greek. Both times have been fantastic. The food is great and the food is just as good as if you go to Greek town. Lamb burger is not on the menu but available upon request (if they are in stock). Very tasty. Not overly feta. Not suitable for eating in car as the salad topping drops off A bit. A little under done at medium – order medium-medium well.
The coated fries well done were amazing.

My friend and I eat at a lot of Mediterranean food restaurants and when I saw that it was mostly a carry out place, my expectations weren’t the highest, but the food was FANTASTIC! The chicken was tender, the pitas were great, the rice was perfect and it also had a very nice salad. I would highly recommend!
