The gyros was loaded with meat. What I especially liked was its flavor. The meat wasn’t the typical one loaded with so much salt. The friendly owner explained that they have their own proprietary recipe for the seasonings of their meat. He also said they have a “from scratch” kitchen, making their own dips, etc.

I was intrigued by the rice pudding – the owner’s mom’s family recipe. Throughout my entire life, each rice pudding tasted terrible to me so I never intended to even like this one. It was amazing! I’m looking forward to eating more of this here!

Some of the nicest service I’ve ever experienced from John and Abby. The restaurant was not super busy, but they were swamped with carry out orders the whole time and still made great efforts for my girlfriend and I. We had previously gotten turned down at two restaurants earlier that night that were too busy with carry out orders to consider even letting us sit down, which made dining here all the better. The food and desserts were fantastic too. Great flavors all around. There’s not a reason I wouldn’t recommend going here to anyone.

Before all the Munster gyro die hards come on the comment section.

Im happy to have another gyro restaurant in Munster and I know this place will be staying for a while.
Their gyro was burrito sized, you get a lot of food for what you pay for. (Which it is pricey.)
I do wish the pita it was on was little warmer bc it started to rip apart.
I also got the lemon chicken rice soup, enjoyed it a lot 9/10. I think it should of been HOT but it was just warm.
I didn’t get the fries this time but they have the good battered fries like how athen pita had when they were open.

I really wanted to get the baklava ice cream but my bf is allergic to walnuts.

Definitely will be back again.

Bright and light location… friendly staff. Food was good, could have used now tzatziki on the gyro. A bit pricy but large portions.

This place sucks!! I ordered a gyro, no onion or tomato and I got a ton of onions and tomatoes on it. I didn’t even bother having them remake, it was just a mess. The gyro was cold and they put a big glop of tzatziki sauce and a pile of feta right at the edge instead of spreading it evenly across. My friend had the burger and hers came out when I was almost done with my sandwich. It looked like a total mess but she said it tasted ok. The bill was almost $35 for a gyro, burger, fry and a soda, which I thought was ridiculous for terrible food and service. Management is nonexistent and when I complained, they did nothing. All the employees were just standing around on their phones almost the entire time we were in there. Another failed attempt at a restaurant in this location, sad! I wonder what’s going in there next, another chicken sandwich place, lol?

I ordered take out, – it said it would take 30 minutes but only took 20 minutes. I should have known better to check the food to make sure it was accurate. It wasn’t. I ordered the pita wrap with no onion. Of course it came with onion. I also order the rice bowl, it came with onion, when I ordered with no onion (see photo) that bowl had no tomato, I was expecting it to. I ordered a Diet Coke, they have Pepsi products. Of course the Diet Coke was out of order. I then got a lemonade and it appears to come as a concentrate even if it had the appearance of “fresh” lemonade. I really love Greek food, but was disappointed.

My husband and I had an excellent meal at The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill. I ordered the lamb Great Greek Gyro. The lamb was cooked perfectly(not greasy, not making the pita soggy) and the pita was so tasty. The seasonings were spot on for this dish. The serving was generous. This meal comes with a choice of fries or soup. We actually ordered both to sample each. I loved that everything was seasoned and fresh and not overly salted at all. My husband ordered the Greek chicken Salad Wrap which had the freshest ingredients and many flavors without being salty. The portion was very filling. The soup was delicious. It was a nice rich serving ,and the chicken, lemon, and rice tasted like it was just made and not sitting in a pot all day. The feta fries were crisp with melted yummy cheese, and I keep saying this, but not overly salty-just seasoned perfectly. We were greeted when we walked in with a friendly staff member. The meal was brought out within reasonable time, and we give a big shout out to Z. She was friendly, and very helpful with suggestions and service. For these reasons, I highly recommend giving this one a try. We will be back.

My wife and I went with our 1 year old. Staff was super friendly and very attentive. Initial price seemed high, but it was well worth it. Service was quick and the food was amazing! We tried a bunch of things (gyro, kabobs, 2 types of potatoes, soup, & salad) and everything was fantastic. We wrapped with the dessert sampler and were happy to find some extra seasonal treats added to the plate. Everything was great and we’ll absolutely be back!

I run Highland Limo and decided to take one of my drivers out for a bite to eat. The great Greek Mediterranean Grill was running a special, buy one get one free, so I couldn’t resist that deal. We both had the great Greek Gyro and it was outstanding! Freshly made Beef lamb, along with Romain, lettuce, red onions, tomatoes, and feta cheese. Perhaps one of the best gyros I have ever tasted. For dessert I had mom‘s rice pudding and it was super, A Definite 5 star experience. My drivers and I are definitely coming back!

Some of the BEST gyros I have had in a minute! So delicious and fresh, which I feel is not very common around here. The staff was amazing and super helpful, they know their menu. I loved heading out to crown point for their food and now that they’ve made one closer to home it’s got me ecstatic! If you’re even contemplating on coming here I’m telling you ITS WORTH IT!
