Great spot!!! It was crowded on a Saturday and it felt like everyone knew each other. Great place to meet the locals for sure.

They have cheeses and such for sale in their cooler and will give you a board and knife to build your own board. Clever.

After 10 years as a frequent customer, I can assure you that this is a lovely little social spot where you can find a good selection of craft beers, fine and simple wines, ciders to enjoy on and off premise, as well as a fair selection of good liquors by the glass. Owners are terrific folk, and your most frequent bar man/manager Conrad is terrific. Please visit. Don’t forget live music, too on Friday evenings.

The Grape and Grain is such a cozy place to stop and get a drink. You can absolutely tell this is a local gem amongst the community. The owners are lovely and Conrad makes some of the best hand crafted cocktails I’ve ever had. This is a must stop when we come into West Jefferson!! Check out their recent posts and events if you’re in the area because they also host local events and promote local artists!

Sounds like new.ownership.has updated the no kid policy, so review has been updated. I’ll be back up next month and will give it another try.
No kids allowed sign really cuts out a major portion of your potential cliental and has turned me off for any future visits with or without them. I have been here several times in the past while visiting family in West Jefferson and enjoyed it. Happened to walk by yesterday with with my son and wanted to step in to grab a beer while everyone else went to the coffee shop, but we were greeted with this sign on the door. This would be very bad for business where we live since there are many young parents that would love to spend their money at a beer and wine shop.
Ohh this was at 4pm, not like a “no one under 21” after 8 or 9 type thing to avoid underage consumption.
Ohh well, it’s a free country but just a heads up to any parents looking for a beer visiting the area.
