I understand mistakes can happen, especially with delivery orders, but undercooked meat is a big issue. Because of this incident, I don’t think I’d eat here again. Hoping they pay closer attention to food quality and safety moving forward.
We continued to wait and watched as the female server with long jet-black hair, the same one who seated us, made her rounds to other tables, including the ones that arrived after us, and took their orders. A kind gentleman even reminded her that we were seated before them, and she completely ignored it and continued taking his order.
At that point, I got up and told her we were leaving. She simply said “ok,” even though it was obvious I was upset. I’m also 9 months pregnant and very hungry, which made the situation even more frustrating. Another male server came over to try to help, but we decided to leave. I truly hate to pull the race card, but I can’t explain it any other way based on how blatantly we were overlooked.
I asked for the manager, and the male server told me he wasn’t in. I’m very disappointed, and still hungry, because I was genuinely looking forward to eating here. This experience was unacceptable.
My only complaint is that the chairs are very loud when being pushed against the concrete floor.
I’ll start with the pros- vibrant, bustling restaraunt with a large menu and many options. Really great take-away section and option for seating. Good smoothie selection and great smoothie texture.
Flags- service was bad. Communicated an allergy of dairy and soy to the server and was assured that my order of the Power bowl was a dairy and soy free option. The server even went to check with the manager.
The bowl arrived and I asked a nearby server to confirm what was in the dressing – vegetable oil which is a sneaky one but does contain soy. No big deal, she offered to replace it with a dressing that was allergen free- great. I dig into the bowl and then notice the sauce on the mushrooms- because of the dressing I ask the same woman to confirm the ingredients – there is literal soy listed in the ingredients she checks. Very disappointing that our server didn’t check for this. I order something else with her as she seems to know the menu well (and was kind enough to double check for me). I order the salmon wrap without the balsamic jam and green goddess dressing which have soy. A sauce still comes with it (and because it’s dropped off by a food runner I wait to confirm with the server that it’s okay) nope it’s the dressing with the soy in it. Also, everyone I’m with has finished eating because of having to order something new.
They eventually let me know that the original bowl which was sent back will be taken off the bill- of course it should have been, it was sent back. My whole meal should have been taken off the bill at the VERY least.
The server should have come and apologized, the manager should have come and apologized and the meal honestly should have been comped. Very dissapointing, especially when there was an available list of ingredients.
Melissa the server who saved me from the allergens knows the menu well and is the only saving grace of the experience.
