Unfortunately not coming back. We went to the one at Renaissance Marketplace. One of the other servers was nice but was appalled by OUR server’s attitude. She took our order without writing anything down – we assumed that they are used to it and such. We ordered Tenderloin steak medium rare, Calamari, Mixed Seafood and Pineapple Juice. We had our food and the juice came last. The steak was not medium rare, it was well done, which is fine but when it came to the bill it said “open food” which was $78 which we didn’t know what that meant. When we had asked, our server said that it was for the Ribeye. We clarified that we asked for the Tenderloin (which was $45.50 – Big difference) and our server kept insisting that WE were confused on what WE ordered and that she is sure. Paying was not an issue but we know what we came to eat and what we ordered – we would not order something we did not want to eat. She continued to insist aggressively that it was a confusion on our part and said no apology. It was one of the worst customer services we have experienxed and unfortunate situation that made us felt that we did not know what we ordered knowing we have worked in this industry before ourselves. Lesson learned: make sure your servers have it written down.

The Grand Fish Restaurant is a solid choice if you’re in the Renaissance Marketplace and looking for a good meal. I stopped in for lunch and was greeted by a friendly staff, and the service was quick and efficient.
I ordered the seafood pasta, which was a mix of seafood and linguine, and it came with some bread on the side. Honestly, it tasted even better than I expected. Everything was cooked well and had great flavor. I also really liked the little bread bites they serve as an appetizer—so much so that I ended up ordering a whole extra side of them.
I think you’ll enjoy your meal here, especially if you’re already in the area. Just keep in mind that the prices are closer to what you’d pay for a meal in the U.S. Since this is a tourist-heavy part of town, you’re not likely to find the same kind of value you might get in more local spots. Still, for the taste and convenience, I’d say it’s worth it.

The food was absolutely delicious. They gave us some cornbread with cheese at the beginning, which was fresh. We ate the paella and the garlic shrimp. It was absolutely delicious. Real lemonade and the drinks were very good too. The flan was very traditional and home cooked. The flan was so good that I forgot to take a picture of it. I would definitely go back. It was a beautiful restaurant that was decorated as a ship with the beachy vibes. I would definitely go back.

1st time at Grand Fish for us.
We were pleasantly impressed with the service & food.
We got there about 8:00 pm, no reservation. It was humid out, but we got to sit in the air-conditioning & a good DJ.
Maritza Acosta was our server, and she was excellent. Took our drink order (which were delicious) explained the specials, helped me with menu items (describing them)
May have been out 1st time there but won’t be the last.

I dined for dinner on Feb 16, 2026. The restaurant looked inviting as the tables outside were seated with many. I ordered a tenderloin steak; medium rare and the server Alejandra did not write my order down. Steak was served well done but I did not want to complain. When the bill arrived, I was charged for a rib eye steak which was $30USD more. I notified the staff that I did not order that but instead I ordered a tenderloin steak. Server Alejandra was very argumentative, condescending and rude. I told her it is fine, I will pay the difference but moving forward to please write orders down, I have not mentioned the words “rib eye” the entire night. She continued to raise her voice, explaining the cut of a rib eye steak even after I told her I will pay. Very unprofessional and unfortunate to lose customers over the difference of a steak. I do not recommend nor will I return. Please do better in customer service.

This was one of the only places open on Sunday. At the point of getting here we were starving. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the catch of the day with garlic cream sauce. The food was definitely one of the better places we ate at in Aruba. The price was perfect too. The service and atmosphere stunk. We had a table really close to the door which was very annoying. We had two waitresses, it was unclear if there was one specifically for our table or not. One was pleasant and the other not so much. They only took our order then dropped the food off. That was it. Maybe we were grumpy because everything was closed. But even with that experience the food was great and I would eat there again.

We visited Grand Fish Aruba yesterday for Mother’s Day without a reservation, and while we didn’t expect instant service, our experience was extremely disappointing. We were seated out back, which was fine—but after we placed our order, we waited over 45 minutes with no updates, no water refills, and no acknowledgment from the staff at all.
What made it worse was that the inside of the restaurant didn’t appear busy, so there was really no clear reason for the long wait or lack of attention. After nearly an hour with no communication, we got up and left.
Mother’s Day is a special occasion, and sadly, The Grand Fish failed to deliver even the basics of hospitality. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

The Grand Fish was a great choice! I ate there solo because I was excited for the whole snapper. It definitely did not disappoint. The only downside was that I chose it to be fried so it would take about 15 minutes( at least that’s what the waiter told me) but it took much longer than that. It was worth the wait to me. The plantains were also very tasty. My waiter was great and attentive.
