What a gem! While looking for someplace different to have lunch, we decided to try this place. So glad we did! It has a cozy vibe, with fun touches all around (the tables, chairs, dishes and glasses are all different). Our food was amazing! Quiche and poached egg with avocado over toast. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was fun! We will definitely be back!

My husband had the french toast and an order of biscuits and gravy, I had an omelet with breakfast potatoes.. everything was delicious. The time and attention they put into making sure they were serving the best from scratch food felt like a love letter to the community. First time going there and we’ll be back for a another hearty homemade relaxing brunch

This was a wonderful find! We were there for Sunday Brunch. Servers are just wonderful, telling us “Just describe your perfect breakfast, and we’ll make that”…and it was TRUE. The place is also adorable and quirky. Great place for an intimate breakfast or lunch date. The wait for our food after ordering was a little long, but the food was as promised and delicious. We’ll definitely be back again and again.

Super friendly staff first of all, with good food. Me and my wife ordered French toast and a turkey rueben i drank coffee she ordered a hot chocolate. 50$ was our total. Wayyyyyy over priced. Bear soup deli in Davison has much better turkey rueben for literally half the price. Pains me as a chef knowing someone is making a poor wage cooking those overpriced meals. I still tipped 5$ regrettably because our server deserved a tip she was excellent. Unfortunately won’t be returning….I can think of a million things better to do with 50$ than eat an average meal. Aside from that i like the menu choices some are pretty unique and if you aren’t concerned with over paying this place is legit.

I finally made it here and I truly enjoyed it every bite and sip! It’s a small place and hard to get in, but you will truly enjoy their meals and service.

Small eatery with a warm rustic atmosphere where you can find grandma’s flavors in every plate. If you are in a hurry this is not your place. Every order is made when ordered with care and precision from the chef. I ordered a breakfast plate. It took about 10-15 minutes to come out but it was worth the wait. The eggs were cooked to perfection. The proteins were full of flavor and the fruits gave the plate a pop of color to feast the eyes. $20 dollars for a breakfast pricey??? A little bit…but worth every penny!

My sister and I were looking for a breakfast/brunch restaurant in the area we were visiting. We came across this local gem. It’s a small quaint restaurant with good food. The portions were perfect for my appetite and the mimosas were delicious.

I showed up at Grafted Root Eatery at roughly 11:50am EST on 03/30/2023, the place was busy but not crowded. The wait staff was quick to seat my dark skinned Middle Eastern father and I (important for later).
We got a nice table and ordered two cocktails. The two spicy Bloody Mary’s could have passed for a virgin drink, less than 1oz of Vodka. The amount of Tabasco in the bottom was uncalled for. The lemon rind was at the bottom of a glass that was filled to the brim with ice. Who includes a lemon rind in a Bloody Mary?!
Now to talk about the food order. My father ordered eggs over easy, toast, and home fries. I ordered a Turkey Reuben. Our order was placed, we waited 30+ minutes.
Two other parties were sat and were served very similar food to our food order. One person was served eggs benedict (eggs and toast), with a side of home fries, and the counter part of that person also got breakfast items that were quite similar to my fathers order as well.
The other party that was sat well after us was served their food before us. They ordered lunch based food. Sandwiches to be precise. I ordered a Turkey Reuben, odd that these people were served before me.
Then I noticed, my father was the only dark skinned person in the restaurant. To clarify, the other people that were sat, ordered, and were served before us were not dark skinned like my dad.
Our drinks were sub-par. Our food, take a look at the pictures. We asked for our food to go, and this is what occurred.
I paid my $54.06 bill and tipped well (20%).
Also the health department might want to take a look at how they are preparing drinks and food. No gloves. No hand washing between drink making and customer cash handling duties. They were answering phones and writing orders down and going right back to BARE HANDED drink prep and food running. Again NO gloves.
I am absolutely appalled that this place thinks it is okay to treat people like this.
What started off as a happy lunch with my dad turned into an experience of service negligence or straight bigotry.
Subpar drinks, substandard food (see pictures of the food packaged by their wait staff), and smiling poor service has been a great disappointment. Very enlightening.

We were in the area for a wedding and stumbled upon The Grafted Root Eatery, and wow, one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time! Everything was made from scratch and you can taste the quality. The flavors were absolutely outstanding.
Service was just as great! Nicole and Mary were so sweet, bubbly, and outgoing. They answered all our menu questions, and made us feel so welcome.
We had the plum mimosa, Caprese eggs Benedict with bacon, and the blueberry French toast special. Every bite was perfection.
Highly recommend this place! I’d make the trip back to the area just to eat here again.

What a gem of a cafe tucked away in Grand Blanc! From the cool vibe of books and maps to the unique individual coffee cups this place started off strong. The food didn’t disappoint either. All locally sourced products that hit the flavor bell. Fresh eggs and banana French toast and tasty home fries. Everything was wonderful. Service was friendly and informative, will return to try the sandwiches and cocktails.
