OH. MY. GOSH. This establishment is amazing! Best Italian I have ever had. China, our server, was so sweet and kind. She did fabulous. We did not have a reservation, but they still were able to get us seated promptly. Stuffed mushroom were perfect. Chicken Parmesan and Chicken Piccata were to die for. 20/10!!! Go go go. You will not regret it!!!

This place is pretty small but we went early and didn’t have to wait for 4. Wait staff was pretty good for Colorado. I had been here previously but I guess it got bought and renamed. The drinks were well priced but the mains were pretty heavy priced. $40 for veal parm, it was very thin and they put egg plant on top to make it look thicker. Zero percent chance it was veal. The egg plant was good, just seemed like a tactic. For 40 it seemed too thin. The crab cake appetizer was awesome but also very small. The lobster raviolis were awesome. Kids entrees were way too small , they need to do something about that.

Excellent food and friendly service, but the extreme noise level made it impossible to enjoy the meal.

We dined here on a recent visit to Crested Butte. My husband had eaten here several times in the past, back when it was Marchitelli’s, and remembered it as a quieter, European-style restaurant with white tablecloths. We were surprised to find that under its new ownership as The Gourmet Noodle, the atmosphere has changed dramatically.

Unfortunately, this was the loudest restaurant experience we’ve ever had. We were seated in a booth along a wall where there used to be a bar, and the noise level made it genuinely difficult to hear each other across the table. Our server even proactively mentioned that the remodel left the space in need of acoustic dampening, which confirmed that this is a known issue. For us, the constant noise and ear-splitting shouts of other diners overwhelmed what otherwise could have been a very enjoyable meal.

That said, the food was good and the service was excellent. The servers were warm and attentive, and the new owner came by to chat, which we appreciated. We especially enjoyed the fried artichoke special. I had the eggplant parmesan with cooked spinach, which was very good. My husband had the chicken parmesan with penne, and while the chicken was good, he found the pasta itself to be fairly sub-par compared to what we cook at home from dry pasta.

If you’re someone who doesn’t mind a very loud, energetic dining room, this may not bother you at all. But if you’re looking for a place where you can comfortably have a conversation and enjoy a calmer atmosphere, be aware that the noise level here is extreme. Despite the good food and kind service, we wouldn’t return for that reason alone.

Read the reviews before visiting which were generally positive about the food. I disregarded the comments about noise thinking it was an exaggeration. They were NOT! The noise level ruined the whole experience. I measured the db on my watch and it was typically mid 80’s. I even saw a reading of 90 db! This means wait staff should be wearing hearing protection! The owners need to invest in some sound dampening panels or other technology.

Food was average. We had a Cesar salad which was quite flavorful and crisp. We also had the elk cannelloni which was bland.

I would not recommend the restaurant until the noise issues are addressed and perhaps try a different menu selection.Read the reviews before visiting which were generally positive about the food. I had a fantastic experience here. The burrata special and calamari were both amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The focaccia was warm, soft, and perfectly seasoned.

The seafood pasta was definitely the highlight. It was rich, savory, and made with really delicious ingredients. Our waitress was super accommodating and gave great suggestions that made the meal even better.

You can tell the new owner knows what he’s doing. The food, service, and overall vibe were all on point. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Quality, Hospitality, Character: From the opening “Welcome” page on the menu, I knew this Chef driven restaurant would offer a special experience. We enjoyed quiet dining al fresco, as the dining room was already full, and the location a block off Elk Avenue allowed a quiet and relaxed meal. Service was attentive, especially as our server listened carefully to side comments about our appetites, food interests, and pacing needs. Dinner was delicious, as expected; with details from the kitchen firing perfectly; warm plates, presentation, portion, and YUM.
With bellies satisfied, we couldn’t resist the Italian Cream Cake for dessert – a hard choice, as all the desserts sounded compelling! Don’t miss the Italian Cream Cake, one of the best desserts I’ve enjoyed in years! As my mom used to suggest, start with dessert!! Thanks for a great evening and dining experience.

Went here for a birthday dinner right before Christmas. It was busy but we got a nice table in the corner so it didn’t feel too loud. The atmosphere is quite pretty. The service was exceptional. And the food was excellent. The homemade bread service was a definite plus. We had fettuccine and lasagna as well as two appetizers. The homemade fried cheese appetizer is the best I’ve ever had. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

The food was delicious, and the service was fast and attentive. Our server was incredibly friendly and patient, which made the experience even better. This is easily some of the best food in Crested Butte, and I would absolutely recommend it. If you enjoyed the old Marchitelli’s Gourmet Noodle, you’ll love the Gourmet Noodle under its new leadership.

I have eaten at this location several times over the years. I have to say the new owner has taken it up several levels. The food is world-class and the service and atmosphere are top notch. The calamari was prepared perfectly- not a drop of oil and tender. The chicken parm was better than any I’ve had. We went on our 36th wedding anniversary and I couldnt have made a better choice. Thank you Chef!
