An absolute MUST if you’re in Watertown!

I cannot recommend The Goose & Gander Pub & Grill enough. The food is stunning, the staff is fabulous, and the service is nothing short of perfection. If you’re craving a truly unique dining experience packed with flavor in Watertown, this is the place you need to be.

We started with drinks at the bar while waiting for our table, and they were clearly crafted with intention and care—thoughtful, balanced, and delicious.

For appetizers, we chose the Special K Dip, and honestly… I could’ve stopped right there and been completely content ordering it on repeat. A warm, creamy krab dip paired with blue corn tortilla chips and warm pita wedges—absolutely outstanding.

Dinner did not disappoint. The Lemon Dill Salmon was incredible, with the lemon garnish adding the perfect brightness to every single bite. And the Short Rib—which I generally won’t eat—was shockingly tender, moist, and melt-in-your-mouth divine.

One unexpected highlight: the chicken soup. Instead of traditional noodles or dumplings, it featured spaetzle, and it was such a delightful twist. I don’t usually order chicken soup at restaurants, but after one taste, I immediately ordered myself a full cup.

To finish, we enjoyed desserts that were made locally, and they hit all the right notes—beautifully done and the perfect ending to an already exceptional meal.

From start to finish, this place delivers. Thoughtful food, creative flavors, warm hospitality—The Goose & Gander truly gets it right. We’ll absolutely be back. ❤️

Absolutely worth the hype. The Goose & Gander is one of those places that just gets it.

From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming and the staff made us feel taken care of without hovering. You can tell pretty quickly that people here care about what they are serving and how they serve it.

Our appetizer was the spinach artichoke dip served with toasted pita bread and blue corn chips. It was hard to stop eating and save room for my main course, it was so good.

My wife ordered the stroganoff and it was outstanding. Rich, comforting, and full of flavor without being heavy. The kind of dish you keep thinking about after you leave.

I went with the DA BOMB Burger and it absolutely lived up to the name. Juicy, messy in the best way, packed with flavor, and cooked perfectly. Every bite hit, and I would order it again without even looking at the menu.

Drinks were solid, service was smooth, and the whole experience felt thoughtful and intentional rather than rushed or generic. This is the kind of place you recommend without hesitation and immediately start planning your next visit.

If you are anywhere near Watertown, do yourself a favor and stop in. We will definitely be back.

Good fish/chicken fry. The accompanying rye bread was fresh and tasty (wish that was available at some of the local grocery stores), the Cole slaw was unique and quite good. The only thing I would change would be to add a little seasoning (garlic, onion) on the fish breading. Service was prompt, staff was friendly and appreciative. This is EXACTLY the type of restaurant Watertown needs. We’ll definitely be back!

We tried the build your own burgers tonight. Delicious. The french fries were also very tasty. Our waitress did a great job.

Tonight was my first time and I was impressed. The service and food was outstanding. I had the lemon salmon with a maple bourbon old fashion. Looking forward to trying out other menu options.

We had the pleasure of visiting the Goose and the Gander recently and it was a quaint, perfect dining experience. We enjoyed everything we had from the special K dip with delicious chips, the unique cocktails, and the short rib dish that was cooked perfectly. The tomato soup was an especially big hit with my husband! The price is more than other places in good ole H20town but it’s also an elevated menu offering more than just fried pub fare. Overall, a welcome addition to the neighborhood – we will be back!

The food and drinks are fantastic! The bartender is great and she muddled the old fashions we ordered which is always a great detail. Our waitress however seemed a bit spacey, didn’t really check in with us and left the dishes on the table consistently. After we ordered our desserts she dropped the bill off before putting our dessert order in with the kitchen which did feel uncomfortable.
