I was not a true fan of burgers until I tasted one at The Good News Burger. The name of this place speaks for itself and I will forever sing their praises. Took my 8-year old there for the first time yesterday, and after the first bite of the chicken breast tender, she said, “mom, I give them a 10 out of 10. This is delicious!” And she was not lying. I always get a burger, but the chicken tender on the kid’s menu really hit the spot. It’s crispy and tasty on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside. Even the toast, fries and tater tots are flavorful. It was so good that my daughter wanted it for breakfast, but instead we bought it again for lunch today and once again, they did not disappoint. Man, I love this place, and if you haven’t tried it, you and your taste buds are missing out. I could go on and on about why this place is number one on my list of places to eat, but I want you to see for yourself.

My first time trying The Good News Burger and it most definitely did not disappoint. I was happy this jewel of a restaurant is located in my old stomping grounds. I’m highly recommending Good News Burger. The atmosphere is pleasant, the customer service is outstanding. The food is exactly what a burger is supposed to signify.. Deliciousness. Support your local restaurant. Next heading to Canada then off to the Middle East but for now San Antonio more food reviews to come.

Today was my second time visiting GNB and it truly didn’t disappoint. I ordered the chili burger and it was so good! My family ordered an original burger and a Jack Burton burger. They loved it their burgers also.
I think this place is definitely worth a try.
The drinks that come with the combos are huge.
Everything was fresh and very well seasoned.
The staff was friendly and very pleasant.
I love that their business has scripture everywhere, you could really feel peace in there.
They also offer military/ first responder discounts with ID so be sure to ask for that when you go!

It’s a very much every day, everyone working type of place to sit and eat. The prices are pretty consistent to most places… about $6 for a burger and $12.50 for the combo. The burgers are good. I ended up tasting the fries, tater tots, and onion rings. I think the tater tots are the best of the 3 but it might just be me.
You must go close to when they open or closer to when they close to get the better parking. The parking isn’t the best as it is small. Do NOT park on the other side of the corner, where there is a gas station or your vehicle will be towed.

Absolutely outstanding place to visit! These guys have cracked the code to a good burger. The bun was buttery, soft, and chewy. All in a great way. The burger was moist and flavors were layered where things just kept hitting you. This is a must for anyone interested in a burger.

Absolutely delicious burger joint (not fast food)! Great choice for any patriotic American, Christian, or carnivore. You don’t need to be one of the first two to love your meal here (scriptures and military / emergency responder decor are present but not overwhelming), but I’m not sure a vegan or vegetarian would get the same enjoyment. The bun (toasted on both sides of each half) was tasty enough to eat by itself. Although the burger could be enjoyed plain, I loved the heat and balance of “el caliente”! The only critical comment is that we were shocked there was no diet soda apart from Diet Dr. Pepper (though not altogether a bad thing for me).

HANDS DOWN THE BEST! As soon as you walk in your hit with the most pleasant warming smell of fresh patties being made, it’s a homey and satisfying smell setting you up for the best burger you’ll ever have. The patties have special seasoning that is amazing and the buns are like no other. 11/10 you have to try this place!
