The Golden Tiki in Las Vegas is an absolute vibe… part tropical escape, part retro tiki fantasy, and all bazaar. The drinks are strong, the atmosphere is wild in the best way, and every corner feels like an adventure. But the must-try move? Ordering a cocktail served on top of Dole Cool Whip ice cream. It’s cold, creamy, boozy, and totally over-the-top in the best Vegas way. Don’t skip it, this place is an experience, not just a bar. $9 happy hour, how crazy is that?

All of it is delightful.

Fish and pork tacos.. the coconut shrimp.. the nachos..

Then there is the Fremont zombie.

We are happy. This has been a great stop. Our service was incredible too!!

Are you a traditionalist, or do you enjoy a departure from the norm? If you lean toward the latter, I think I have the place for you: Golden Tiki.

Located in a Chinatown strip mall, this spot is a hidden gem in the truest sense. You could drive past it a dozen times and never suspect the escapist playground waiting behind the door. The exterior gives nothing away. Step inside, though, and you are transported to a themed oasis overflowing with tiki kitsch, nautical curiosities, and playful irreverence.

The Golden Tiki opened in 2015 and quickly became a cult favorite among locals, industry insiders, and cocktail enthusiasts. Its design draws inspiration from the grand era of mid-century tiki culture, the same movement popularized by Don the Beachcomber and Trader Vic’s, when Americans embraced Polynesian fantasy as a joyful escape from everyday life. Here, that spirit is turned up to eleven. Carved idols grin from shadowy corners, pufferfish lamps glow overhead, and animatronic birds and skeletons add a touch of mischievous humor if you look closely enough.

Along the walls in the main room are tables and booths filled with groups indulging in all manner of food and drink. The long bar is clearly command central, with scores of stools and patrons bellied up to watch the bartenders at work. These folks are not simply pouring rum. They are staging a performance. Flames flicker, shakers rattle, and elaborate garnishes crown drinks served in collectible ceramic vessels that feel like artifacts from a tropical fever dream.

The cocktail program leans heavily into premium rums and fresh juices, honoring tiki tradition while elevating the craft. Classics such as the Zombie and Painkiller share space with house creations that arrive strong, balanced, and deceptively smooth. If you are pacing yourself, the shareable bowls are a social experience all their own.

The atmosphere is righteous and the energy rises to match any festive occasion. Music hums, laughter carries, and strangers quickly become temporary friends under the glow of bamboo and neon. If there is a drawback, it is that the secret is long since out. Evenings can be shoulder to shoulder, and reservations are essential if you want to secure a seat rather than hover near the bar like a hopeful extra.

Las Vegas thrives on spectacle, but Golden Tiki delivers something different. It is not about velvet ropes or dress codes. It is about stepping out of the desert and into a mischievous tropical daydream where the rum flows freely and the outside world feels wonderfully far away.

Enter thirsty. Leave smiling. And do not be surprised if you find yourself plotting your return before you even reach your car in the parking lot.

Happy hour everyday 4pm to 7pm. We went for a drink and some bar apps on a Sunday afternoon. It was easy to reserve a table online but the bar was slower and I think we could’ve walked in if we just wanted the bar area. I have been to many tiki bars and this is definitely one of the showiest and fits the Vegas atmosphere. The atmosphere is theatrical and over the top and kitsch you would expect from 24 hour Vegas Tiki Bar. The rat pack homage that is Dino a la Carte, who croons into hearts during Happy Hour is perfect.

The food was on par with any other tiki bar with generous portions. The Dole Whip flight was worthy of trying.

This is my first time here and I would definitely come again. I had a reservation for a table but the waitress was swamped with what she already had so I decided to go to the bar. I ordered the Dole Pineapple with Pineapple juice and I should have got 2 at the time. Now I can’t wait to be back in May to get another one.
The atmosphere here is really something, everywhere you turn and look there’s something new to see. The DJ had a great selection of music not your average stuff.

This is a great-great tiki bar in Las Vegas off the strip. We’re so glad we got the tip to come here. The place is so amazing inside. We’ve been to lots of ki bars, but this place is especially great inside. They have the most amazing displays of shrunken heads that are so detailed and so cool you gotta walk around and check them all out. Couple funny comedian, birds hanging from the ceiling busting each other’s balls, the décor is great The drinks were awesome. We got a sampler platter of food that was so good, with all kinds of goodies on it also, we got the big mug they sell there with a cocktail in it. I believe it was a zombie It was super strong and overall, This is one of the best tiki bars we’ve been to in a very long time. A must check out if you come to Vegas. One thing you need to remember is you have to have a reservation make 1 no matter what.n Don’t miss this one.

Excursion off the strip but this place is amazing. The decor in every nook and cranny. I could spend days wandering around examining all the artifacts. And we managed to hit happy hour which was a lovely surprise!

This place is great. We came for happy hour on Saturday. They were super busy but had room to stand at the bar. If you want a table I would recommend reserving one. The inside is decorated really fun with a tiki theme. We had the piranha drink, mai tai and the dole whip and all were amazing! The dole whip tastes just like the one at Disneyland. Will be returning

Absolutely killer bar and lodestone for tiki. Mai Tais the way they should be made, but lots of fun evolutions on tiki drinks as well. Great tiki bars should have a great food menu, and they do in spades. Don’t miss the plate lunch – better than many I’ve had in Hawaii and maybe the best Mac salad of my life. Had a great conversation with Nick and thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. Make sure you stick around long enough for the bar to come to life.

Visited on a Monday night for happy hour and expected it to be slow, but it wasn’t. I had reservations for 5:30 pm, but since we were exploring Chinatown, we arrived earlier, and they happily accommodated us. I was eager to try their signature cocktails, but by the second round, we were out.

Ranking what we tried: the best was the birthday shot (Demon Semen), followed by the Painkiller, Mai Tai, and Punch of Panzan. Overall, everything tasted great. We also ordered crab rangoon and fries for our sides.

Definitely a relaxing time at this eclectic tiki bar in Vegas. Our server, Jessica, was so nice and friendly—she made us feel very welcome. Thank you for the wonderful time!
